he doesn't dive in as much as he used to, clearly playing with agger has rubbed off on him 😉

the only unbreakable people in our squad are the rubbish players, the second you get half decent the injuries kick in. lucas is living proof.

Skrtel's brilliant, has been for most of his time here. Prone to the odd boner, might not have the distribution of Agger but he's a much better defender.

yep, he's had several injuries. the injury were he did the splits looked quite painful though.

Dagger has got his own thread, so I thought I would dig this up for Skrtel, who for me has been pretty much impeccable all season in the centre of defence. Another imperious display today.

Skittles and Agger form one of the best Centre-Back partnership i have seen. What i like about them is that they are not overly reliant on having a world class defensive midfielder sitting in front of them.

Skittles has come on a great deal....especially his heading has improved beyond recognition. He is a bit of a monster. Both amazing Rafa signings....credit where it's due etc. Ryan can fuck off with his "i told you so" on this one.....he didn't. At least not as far as i know. He didn't criticize him either, but not many on this forum did.
 
When you think back to the days of David James, Phil Babb and Bjorn Torn Kvarme....Reina, Agger, Skrtel looks fantastic! Although apparently Kvarme kills it in the vets 5-a-sides these days!
 
Close behind Bellers for me, but he's still been truly excellent. Long may it continue, and under Kenny and Steve Clarke I'm sure it will.

Mine too.

It's took him a while to get the credit he deserves. Truth is he's been excellent for a while, but he's now getting even better. Class act is Skittles.
