Newcastle's loan bid has failed. He seems to be off to Boro.
Rumors are now that Newcastle will bid 10 million for him to try and force our hand.

Is this Ibe MK II? or would this be a mistake?

Loaning him out would be a very good idea, selling him wouldnt. He seems a fair greater talent than Ibe, and has more extreme qualities.

Sell with a buy back.
I like Ojo, but I don't see the same type of talent I saw in Sterling and Suso in him.

Another shame, but hasn't pushed on. With Kent and Wilson among others pressing for inclusion we need to make decisions on some of these guys. 10m seems like good business for someone who has a handful of top flight appearances.

£10m looks good for a 20 yr old who hasn't got much games under his belt. However, we don't seem to have much cover along the flanks. Kent has been linked with Hull, Wilson would probably gain more from a loan stint whereas Brannagan is reportedly close to the exit door.

Was Ojo used to cover for Mane last season ? I don't think Klopp sees him as first team material.

By cover, I was referring more to rotation in domestic cup games. If we do sell, hopefully the money gets reinvested accordingly in the squad.

I think these kinds of deals may allow us to go the extra mile to make our big signings. I expect more of these fringe players to be signed, and us to regret some of them. As has been said, buy-back clauses may be advisable in some cases.

Confirmed by the Chronicle that its just a loan agreement, no bid regarding a transfer.

He had a serious back injury last year that kept him on the sidelines for several months until about December 2016. Then he struggled to regain his form, but the coaches worked really hard with him and this could be the season he pushes on, so I'd much prefer to either keep him or loan him out rather than sell him. So much time and effort has been invested in him it would be a shame to lose him before we can assess any further progress - and as I said in another thread, bringing on someone with his pace late on in a game after Salah and Mane have run a defence ragged would be a great attacking option this season.

Sounds similar to what Klopp seemed to be trying with TAA in some games last season, most likely due to the lack of pacier attacking options so hopefully this is a tactic Jurgen wants to run with.

Off to Fulham, where - unlike Newcastle - there must have been some kind of playing time reassurance/ guarantee

and an agreement to get Sessegnon next year.

You mean we'll make an informal offer to him via Ojo, succeed in pissing them off, be forced into offering another grovelling apology along with the free transfer of Ojo as a sweetner. Yes.

From the Echo, it seems we've accepted both Boro's and Fulham's bids to loan him, so he now has a choice of which club to join. I hope he picks Fulham. Under the manager Jokanovic, they were joint top scorers in the league last season with 85 goals (tied with Newcastle and Norwich), and it seems like they play an energetic, attacking style of football, which would better suit (and showcase) Ojo.

Agreed deals with Boro, Fulham and Derby now.

Hope he goes to the club which will give him a first team role. Playing 35+ games in the Championship this season would do him the world of good.

Didn't someone say earlier this year that Ojo was thinking more about a move away and less about "making it" at Liverpool? Macca?
