Latest from Italy: Corriere dello Sport report that Liverpool have seen an introductory offer of £24m for Sergej Milinkovic-Savic rejected by Lazio.

Lazio are instead demanding closer to £62m for the Serbian international, who scored four times in 34 Serie A matches last season.

The 22-year-old operates in centre-midfield – a position Liverpool are desperate to reinforce ahead of the 2017/18 campaign.

He's a big tall lad, something which we need in our team, he's similar to a Matic type player but better imo. He loves to play a through ball and has an eye for breaking up play. Not quick though. £25mill would be about right in this market but anything above 30 is overpaying.

It reminds me of Football Manager when you click "Suggest Terms" when trying to buy someone, only to see the asking price go to something crazy, like 128 million

Without ever having watched this guy, he seems exactly like the type of player very few of us has ever heard of, then signs for another major club and excels there. See Mkhitaryan, Diego Costa etc.

When you say not quick, are we talking Lucas not quick, or say Can or Gini not quick (as in not slow, but not generally regarded for exceptional pace).

I like the look of him. We do need more height and physicality in the team. Looks like a bit of a mix between Matic and Yaya, though we could only hope that he possesses that kind of quality.

Can and Henderson seem quite similar, though.

Size-wise, anyway

Indeed- he's a fair bit bigger though- Can is just over 6ft and Hendo a shade under. This guy is 6' 3.5". Also, I think Klopp is preparing for life without Hendo given his injuries (as he must). Quite possibly the same applies to Can.
