Yeah, but without cheese, baked potatoes would be pointless, omelettes wouldn't work at all, garlic bread would just be a 7/10 food instead of a 10/10 food, spaghetti bolognese would be naked, the ham on a sandwich would be terribly lonely, & worst of all, no pizza!

I'd make do with plastic tarps around the windows before I'd make do without cheese.
Nailed it

Then you would have your missus gurning about the cold in the winter.

I can picture tower blocks with no windows, all of the flats are inhabited by blokes who have given the wife the elbow just so they can still enjoy cheese.

There are other foods, Jon.

I'm not like a cheese fanatic or anything, but the point about baked potatoes is well made. And there's not many food or cuisines that cheese can't be added to and make better.

Apart from maybe Sushi. And Chinese. And Thai. Do they even have cheese in the mysterious Orient?

You dont need cheese when everything you cook is drowned in Salt

Merely fifteen minutes ago, I took my Chicken Risotto off the heat, stirred in some grated Parmesan and took the meal from a solid 7.5 to a straight up 9.5 immediately.

Your point is a wise one.

It was my goddamn point that was a wise one!

Plastic tarp around the what now? You can’t put tarp around the windows because they don’t exist.

There'd still be holes. Window sized holes. With tarp affixed to them & miserable women inside, watching their husbands happily wolf down pizza & cheesy garlic bread as they shiver.

You’ll be fat and pasty looking from eating cheese in the dark.

Now that I think of it there’s a few posters on here who obviously live some version of the lifestyle you describe. Of course there are no miserable women, just pot noodles shivering in the dark.
