With his swearing into the camera, surely the FA have to make an example of him. The lad has crossed the line, hardly a example to the kids who in general will worship everything he does.

Drogba did it a few years back and UEFA made an example of him, although not quite as bad as what Drogba did the FA should still come down on him like a Ton of Bricks.

These footballers are idols to some and in my opinion need to realize this by setting the right example on the pitch, at least if you are going to do something in front of the camera show some class..

I watched the replays and I can't really understand what he's saying ... Anyone got a good link to it? Or just tell me what he said.

Whilst I think he's a utter cunt... You can't ban him for that! he's not claiming anyone is cheating etc.

It's pointless.

He's a cunt, but we'd just sound like a bunch of losers for making an issue of it.

Which we are, I guess.

you can...

It is understood that taking action over a player swearing into a camera may be unprecedented, but the FA's rules do appear to have a provision about such behaviour.

They state: "A participant shall at all times act in the best interests of the game and shall not act in any manner which is improper or brings the game into disrepute or use any one, or a combination of, violent conduct, serious foul play, threatening, abusive, indecent or insulting words or behaviour."

What point is he trying to make?
[/quote]

I think its aimed at the media.. as lately a lot of press has been aimed at Rooney saying he is not the player he once was.

Nothing will come of this.

Even if he does get fined or whatever, what will that achieve?

He's a cunt and will continue to be a cunt playing for a shower of cunts under a cunt of a manager.

It's not aimed at anyone, it's just a thick cunt ranting like the uneducated fuck he truly is.

The FA will probably act on this, meaning that it's okay to try and take someone's head off but you can't curse on camera.

Absolute fuckwits.

If Wayne Rooney is your 'idol' and 'role-model' then you must already be al almighty thick fuck and in many ways you deserve to end up like him.

Even the Mancs I know hate him.

He is just scum.

He'll just get fined and thats probably about right. However, the real shame is that kids have that twat as an idol.

TBF I don't think they mean 'role model' in those terms, but at half 1 in the afternoon it's safe to say kids will be watching, & some will think it's more acceptable to use language like that cos someone on television who is in a position most kids aspire too, whatever your allegiance, has used it.

Are kids really that easily swayed and naive though? I knew when I was growing up that swearing was bad, and if I saw Fowler axe murdering someone it wouldn't have meant that I would have thought it was okay to do it.

I was at Scrote 2s match this morning and the ref booked someone after 2 mins for moaning about a decision, and he said to the kid 'This isn't match of the day and you're not Wayne Rooney, you're lucky you're not being sent off.' and that was it, total respect for all decisions that followed. It's very simple. I don't blame Rooney. I blame baconface for instilling it in his squads and the FA and refs for allowing it over and over.

I actually think its bloody pathetic the issue being made out of it to be honest. The lad has just scored a hatrick thats probably just sealed the title the adrenalines pumuping and he says fucking. Boo hoo he hasn't killed anyone he has snapped someone in half. People go on about oh but the kids, look worse things go on in the stands every game for the kids to be influenced by.

I do think he is a cunt in general but this come on fucking hell.

People are worked up about it because:
1) he's a cunt
2) he plays for united
3) no one gets punished for united (our rather that's how it's perceived)

People want to see "justice" against a manc player. Add that to the fact he's a cunt AND english AND had been so indifferent for that national team. AND the fact people are so protective of their little poppets. Redknapp wouldn't swear

He'd just hang out the back of it

He's been charged with using abusive language etc..

Carries a 2-game ban.

Can challenge it.

Ha! Good! I hope he does get a two match ban and that his predictable appeal fails. It's not really the language that he used to be fair. I mean we all know what it's like at a footy match. Some of the language i've heard on the terraces would make sailors blush. It's the manner with which he said it. Utter contempt - the look on his face as he virtually spat them words into the camera was a disgrace. Millions of people around the world watched him do that so yeah ban the fucker.

As a side note it's interesting that he gets banned for for this and not the blatant forearm smash on some fella a few weeks ago. Hey ho - good old FA - Bunch of clueless bellends!

2 game ban for the cunt and 4 game ban for his mentor. Will this stop them from doing that again? NO.

I can't even bring myself to care about this. What a shit season, just a lot of irrelevant shit to talk about now.
