ronaldo scores loads of goals but messi is world's best

no arguments from me.

I have always thought of messi as a better player than ronaldo but it is all down to ppersonal preference.

Messi may end up with more goals this season.

Him and Alves have formed a formidable partnership down that right hand side.

Yup.

When you watch Messi, you watch someone who does everything with ease - it comes natural to him.

Whereas with Ronaldo, who is very good also, you can tell most of his skill is down to more training.

Thats bollocks im afraid. Hes a natural talent. Id love to know the coach who taught him to do some of the stuff he can do with the ball if its down to training.

Most Scum fans have fallen out of love with Ronaldo, they still appreciate that he is their most likely match winner but now mock his histionics when he feels aggrieved. They also have not forgiven him for his attempted move last summer and there is an underlying feeling that he is not playing as well as previous seasons as he is trying to engineer a transfer this summer.

Personally I dislike the man very much. Yes, he is amazingly talented and can do some remarkable things on the pitch but his attitude stinks and he seems like a very vain and unsavoury character.

Messi>>>>Ronaldo

there, I said it 🙂

Without a doubt mate.

He's fucking awesome. Closest thing to Maradona I've seen. I think him alone should make all managers take at least 1 gamble on a south american flair player.

No doubt there'll be a few planks on here that think the waiter's stepovers and 40goals against the relegation fodder make him better.

World Player of the Year 2008 - Cristiano Ronaldo. Was everyone who voted for him a "plank"?

Messi is clearly the better player and it has nothing to do with any bias against the scum.

Last year Ronaldo deserved it. Unless Barca spectacularly collapse and / or he gets injured, Messi will definitely pick up all the awards next time round - he's been sensational so far.

As for scoring goals against cannon fodder - have you watched any Barca games of late? The gulf in class, even when playing some of the better teams, is marked.

The test of a players ability, is to prove it in another league. Please fuck off to spain greaseball, please sign for us Mr Messi, sir.

He deserved it last year. Granted, the dickhead scored a load of goals, but if you watched the pair of them play last season, Messi was far better and is far more capable against the big teams.

I think when Messi retires (hopefully a long long time away) he'll be remembered up there with the greats, and is showing potential to be up there with the very best. Whereas the waiter I bet will end up being just another decent player. And, I bet the cock is close to his peak now, whereas Messi isn't.

It seems to be some kind of universal "checks and balances" force that does this on 6cm. Just when you're thinking that everyone has their feet on the ground you get a load of nut jobs espousing that some guy playing in a far weaker league who has scored far less goals and made his team far less successful is somehow superior on the basis of 4 months ....... including a period during which Ronaldo was recovering from injury.

Heh. This slow period in the season has clearly led to a lot of experimenting with banned substances. Please keep pointing to all Messi's wonderful performances against amateurs - it really does strengthen his case. No, truly. :🙂

PS. I've heard there's some guy in the Japanese league - getting loads of goals and assists; I dare say he might be the best in the world just now. 😱

Heh, but it's equally absurd to dismiss Messi in the manner that you have. Checks and balances indeed.

Barca are playing brilliantly at the moment and alongside ourselves they are the best playing team in Europe.

I don't think a single supporter of a different club or a neutral would agree with that. We've been better than we ever have for the last couple of decades, but by no means are we 'the best playing team' in Europe.

But Messi cost Barca the CL last season for not tackling Paul Scholes.

Exactly, I have seen; Scholes, Giggs, Keane, Schmeichel etc given due respect over the years on here and Koptalk previously. There will always be a few who will will never say a good word about their players but I reckon the majority on here view Scum players objectively.

Given Ronaldo and Messi (who's clearly number 2 in the world - for Keni's benefit) have been duelling for the last 3 or 4 years, why don't we have a look at the last 4; tell me who's dominated the CL in those years ..... please. At least give me a hint.

I'll go out on a limb and say that pattern isn't going to change this season either. Barca may well end up winning it but they're the only Spanish team with a prayer. The epl has 3 teams who would be considered genuine chances....... and I dare say the runners up of a couple of years ago would argue they should be in there somewhere too.

Maybe it's a wee bit populistic to claim that but if you're only looking at the games played over the last fortnight I reckon you can't find any other better.

The game against Newcastle in particular was magnificent.

*There's a Manc-supporting commentator on one of the Danish channels broadcasting The Premiership and he actually said, that the way Liverpool played in that particular game made him think about the glory United days back in late 90s.
