Romelu Lukaku

If he moves this summer I very much doubt it will be for Arsenal, unless they get a new manager. I can't see Wenger paying what he considers extortionate amounts for a 20 year old winger, even though the price is well, well worth it in this case.

He also isn't French

They were always going to buy a striker. Drogba's old, anelka's in his last year of his contract, sturridge is untested for them, and Torres is the new Shevchenko.

This is true - but couldn't they have bought someone who isn't rated amongst the best young striking talents in the world?

After giving us 50M for that floppy moaning cuntrash, we've no right to complain about anything they do in the transfer market for a few years.

They've replaced the old Drogba with the "new" Drogba. Will be interesting to see how he fares in the EPL.
Seems to have faded a bit the past year but immensly talented.

I was kinda hoping we'd in for him as understudy/alternative to Carroll.

Very raw from what I've seen but bundles of potential.

From what Ive seen I think he will end up being a massive success for them but probably not for another 12-18 months, he isnt exactly Drogba Mk II in that Drogba is often described as a battering ram but he is actually quick skillful and has great technique. Lukaku looks more like a Carroll style battering ram without the finesse of Drogba, they currently dont have any decent supply from out wide so Im assuming he will have to bide his time for Villa Boas to replace the old guard (Anelka,Drogba,Lampard,Malouda) before he can really stop into the spot light, for €22m I think they have gotten a good deal

While taking time out to respond to questions on Twitter, Lukaku was asked what his favourite thing about Chelsea was.

He replied: "The fans, the players.. Its just my dream team."

The fans?!?!

You're moving to the wrong club son.

There are always young players rated as the next best striker / defender / midfielder / keeper and what have you ...... most of them disappear into obscurity (playing for Newcastle).

He's either going to become a complete monster of a player or the next Emile Heskey or Brian Deane
