Rodgers was spotted in Rome. Italian media running with Pjanic stories.

IF we somehow manage to sign Pjanic this summer. There will be jizz. Loads.

Hmm. Pjanic is a good player, but I can't see him playing AM in midfield - doesn't have much pace, and doesn't score many goals.

He's a good no. 8 in Italy, but I wonder if that will translate to England - (1) he's quite lightweight, (2) the Serie A curse; (3) he's not THAT good.

For the fee that he'd command, we could do better I think.

Yeah, Nainggolan sounds more likely, given our depth at attacking midfield already. A move at CM sounds more plausible, especially if Lucas still wants to leave at the end of the season, and if talks with Henderson on the new contract continue to stall.
 
Strootman or Nainggolan would make much more sense.

But Pjanic is ace. Like him a lot.
 
Players are like cars. You buy Italian cars for looks but reliability and performance they tend to be piss poor particularly in the UK. However, with German cars you may not have the same character as Italian ones but they perform far better, and reliability is so much better too.

That works for Mario. Borini is more like an Italian moped, sorta cool but ultimately shit.
