£10-12m, absolutely no more, chances are he'll be injured for ages, doubt Madrid would let him go for that much though, they're not usually good to bargain with are they.
No.
No to which bit?

Those of you calling him an a-hole, he is one, but we need a few more of them with a bit of flair, IF Robben stays fit, its a no brainer.
Which bit of "no" don't you understand ?
You don't want Robben for £10-12m? Madrid aren't fun to negotiate with? Robben doesn't get injured a lot?

ARJEN ROBBEN NEVER GETS THAT MOVE !

I really wouldn't want Robben.

He's good, but not worth the money it would cost to bring him here because of all the things people have mentioned already.

And he's a cunt.

Too old now for the PL, nty
Hes 25 the same age as torres, old really. He's also been one of Madrids best players this season. He is miles better anything we have on the wings at the moment.
He's not been one of Madrid's best players this season at all. I've seen him play about 4-5 times in La Liga and he's been far from impressive.
He's better than what we've got, but he's not been excellent since his move to Spain by any stretch and he rolls around too much.
Offers more goal threat than our wingers though.....
20mill? Nah.

Arsehole of the highest order who also happens to be the best winger in the world, for both these reasons he will not sign.

If we can raise what Robben would cost, we should go the extra mile and make a bid for Ribery - more versatile, more consistent, more professional, more suited to us all round.

Im quite surprised that people are mocking the £20m price tag. We're talking about Real Madrid's best player this season along with Casillas here and someone on the wing who would fly past players and score/set up goals for fun. Ronaldo and Ribery are also cunts but id love to sign them to.

Well if we end up with more Riera/Benayoun types instead of one of the best wingers in the world im not going to be happy. People make me laugh complaining that we have the likes of Kuyt et al on the wings all season long and then turn their noses up at the prospect of Robben playing for us.

Hes a diving twat (he rolls around like the best of them) and if he was playing for one of the other top sides in the Premiership he would also be hated.

Ribery's not a cunt, but he would probably cost more than Robben, if only because he's not injured as often. Otherwise I agree with everything Whitey's said.

Who are all these brilliant, cheap, nice-guy, goalscoring wingers we're going to sign?
There aren't many better wingers around. He has a reputation for being a bit of a twat, but so did Pennant and Bellamy. He's injury prone, but so are Aurelio and Degen.

The only thing that makes this unlikely is the mooted transfer fee, but that could just be made-up bollocks. I'd be happy for us to sign him if the fee was partly dependent upon the number of appearances etc.
Neither Pennant nor Bellamy lasted too long under Benitez.

Good man Bunny.

It would be lovely to have someone who can dribble with the ball at speed and beat a defender like Robben. It would be a great tool to have against these teams that park the bus. He can play left/right or through the middle and when in full flow is one of the most exciting players on the planet.

I know, but that didn't stop him signing them in the first place. I was just addressing keniget's point about it being an unlikely signing. I don't think it is that unlikely.

Perhaps, but... there is a world of difference between hard working (on the field) lowly journeymen who were expected to thank the footballing gods they were given such an opportunity daily to lazy expectant stars with an attitude.

Not if you're the patient.

Good player, but not worth the 20M price tag though, based on his injury record. 10-12M should be a fair deal.

As for him being a cunt, so was Ince, Bellamy and Pennant. (How was Julian Dicks by the way?)

He was one of the worst full-backs we've ever had.

I hate Robben, always have. He's exactly the sort of player we need though.
Exactly so , being a bit of a twat is not a reason, if he is the right player and not going to piss off the squad our sensitivities do not come into it.

regards

Agree in principle, but that's the crucial point. If his tw@ttishness extends that far, we'll end up losing more than we gain by signing him.

Think about it.

Will Rafa buy Robben?

or is this a diversion tactic?
A smokescreen, if you will?

Dunk, is that you?
