Man you have to feel sorry for this guy. He's right. There were a ton of jokes on here at the time and maybe I even made one or two (can't remember) but of course we have all made socially unacceptable jokes in private.

The world is full of people feeling vicariously offended, or to use an exceptional term : the narcissism of taking offence by proxy. However I don't understand why he didn't just speak out at the time .. or get proper legal defence vs. the PL.

His blog post is fair game I guess, he made a mistake. I've had some pretty funny, crude, offensive posts sent to me via Whatsapp, some of it would offend people, does that make me a terrible person? If I was as semi famous, is it worthy of national news? Fake news is the scourge of our society, but so is the associated backlash from holier-than-thou do-gooders behind computer screens. Sanctimonious bellends who probably live in glass houses.

I bet most those same do-gooders have their own secrets that would see them vilified on social media / in the press if it were to come out. If only there was a way ......

I read the stroy yesterday. As someone said on Twitter his "friend" who forwarded the email to the FA is a twat of the highest proportions. I bet he bums dogs

The FA discrimination rules are strict liability for players, so he can't suddenly whine about context and jokes when the rules get applied to him.

Imagine doing that though to a mate. Slight disagreement and then threatening to drop you in the shit.

I worked with some absolute bitch when I was in my first job at 18, she had me working on a big project for her which I completed with aplomb. During the process I joked with an older colleague about a referral he had made which got me a bonus, something about doing it more often and splitting the money, as a jokey half arsed bit of a quip over lunch or something.

The woman kept the comment close to her until I handed her the final part of her project, she literally stood up from her desk and went straight to the CEO to whistleblow. Me and the older colleague got disciplined, which cost my colleague a promotion. She'd done it to him previously too over a driving offense he had, she told the CEO and it cost him as it was damaging to his role.

The bitch grass was married to a prominent Tory MP, who was an even bigger twat than she was.

But yeah, a daft naive mistake I'll never make again.

I guess we don't know the true context of what sparked that reaction, but trying to get someone fired over a personal dispute is pretty disgusting, even if you barely know the person.

I suspect Madely has done something pretty fucked up to trigger that reaction which he hasn't admitted to. Seems a bit odd otherwise.

There are some very weird people in this world on hairline triggers - this lady said "excuse me: as he pushed past !

I doubt it, otherwise his "friend" would have just outed him for that as well.

Depends doesn't it. Cheating on your wife or misses won't have any impact on you professionally for instance so there's no point mentioning it. It's not like they went to the press with it. It's all gross speculation anyway.

Given that it seems to be around the time he got together with his new missus Id imagine its related to that. Ive known people who were mates for years andas a result their wives were mates, then when a relationship ends it can all get very nasty once people start taking sides.

Perhaps he was bumming his friend's dog after all. Contrary to his blog post in which he claims he did not have sexual relations with said dog.

The worst part was he didn't even ring her back.
