... while we spunk millions on an overated donkey who couldn't hit a barn door.

Ah, so now the forum can no longer ignore him, it must now find a way to complain about what's going to happen to him. Chelsea is the club that let him go. We're the ones who got him, coached him and are now set to reap the benefits. But to reflect on that would be way too positive.

Seems to the current way 🙂
It's exciting to have a striker coming through the ranks again and if in some way we can use this season to give Woodman and Co a chance to blood in to transition this season then maybe we can gain something.
Despite the current state of the GK, defense and meek midfield issues, the rest of the club is in great shape 🙂
Regardless of future of Coutinho, we have a great stadium with a very asset heavy club in terms youth and structure.

Jonathan Northcroft in the Sunday Times:

“We have a special kid, I won’t name him now,” said Jurgen Klopp to me back in January in an interview. So, in its aftermath I made enquiries and he was speaking about Rhian Brewster.

The young striker, then just 16, had recently scored a hat-trick in a first team friendly versus Accrington and was already a regular in the behind-closed-doors games Liverpool play during international breaks.

How highly did Klopp and his assistant, Pep Lijnders, rate Brewster, I asked someone inside Liverpool. The response? “They adore him. They absolutely adore him.”

Would love to see some form of recognition of this made with a spot on the bench for an upcoming home game (maybe FA cup) to get the fans cheering him whilst he warms up etc. Even better if he gets some minutes, but given Solanke was man of the tournament for U20 and is only getting limited minutes makes that look a little less likely immediately. A gesture like the above would be awesome though.

But he's lightweight and, well, you know he'll just never make the grade blah blah blah, because well ... he just won't!
