So there I am in my usual caff after a whole morning running household errands and shopping, looking forward to a richly earned all-day breakfast. It duly arrives, steaming hot and saying "EAT ME" in its usual way. I settle down to tuck in.
Then in comes a coachload of Welsh grannies, swarming over to every unoccupied table, sitting down, ordering and chuntering away twenty to the dozen. The two who park themselves on the table nearest to me clock my brekkie and immediately start making comments about it, how nice it looks, oh dear I could never manage all that, etc.etc.blahdiblah. The comments are between themselves, not directed to me at any time, but as they're only on the next table I can't help but hear what they're saying.
I didn't say anything, but for some reason I find this really annoying. I just want to have my scran on my tod and I'd rather you did the same, thanks, ladies. Is it just me, or were they a pair of nosy old biddies who should mind their own business?
