Liverpoolfc.tv are delighted to announce the launch of RedZone - a brand new way of watching the best of the action from our Barclays Premier League games.

Based on a similar concept to the live NFL show of the same name that has taken American television by storm, our match editors here have split the Anfield pitch into three thirds - with two Red Zones at either end - and cut out any of the action that occurred in the middle section of the pitch.

So out go long periods of possession play, tackles around the centre of the pitch and all forms of time wasting, intentional or otherwise. What you get instead in the RedZone is nothing but non-stop attacking play from both sides.

This is football in its most brutal, attacking form, and while by sticking rigidly to only action that occurs in the two RedZones you wouldn't get to marvel at the build up to last weekend's 31-pass goal against Wolves, you won't miss a single attacking moment from Wednesday night's match - at either end.

For those who want to watch all 90 minutes of the goals, extended highlights or even just the goals individually from all our games, those options are still very much available as part of the LFCTV Online subscription but this is something new for those who want to cut straight to the chase.

Why not try our RedZone video today for free and see what you think.

If it's gonna be free every week then it's a good idea. I doubt it will be though.

It seems a little like an idea aimed at getting on board more casual US based fans who think football is too slow.
