I actually thought the same. Lack of support in the first half but he did look dangerous on a few occasions when they got the ball to him but in the second ... regardless of Nunez on or off the pitch we should have scored.
Old old story and I know we are still focused on fitness but that lack of a cutting edge against the low block is the reason we didn't put away more games last season. I hope Nunez makes the difference this season.
Not surprised it was low scoring given we started by playing two attacking mids as RW and LW. I hope this isn't a sign that Klopp sees either Elliot or Carvalho as wide forwards, roles where they do not excel. Either will play much better with three attackers ahead of them making runs etc.
He was excellent last night and I was surprised that he was one of those left on for 60 mins. I think Klopp was impressed too. Pace to burn, strength, good feet and tricky. He didn't get to do much defending last night so most of us don't know what level he's at and his crossing (not his forward interplay) was a little dodgy (based on one game).
