A few years ago I moved banks from the HSBC to the Abbey, I was tired of a shitty customer service, crappy opening times at my local branch and only one cashier on when I went. At the time Abbey seemed the logical choice to join, a local branch within easy reach, everything I needed banking wise and they had just got swallowed up by one of the largest banking groups in the world, as it turns out I have joined another bunch of cunts.
When I signed up for my account I got a small authorized overdraft as a 'safety net', flash forwards 3 years and within the space of 5 months, I have had my overdraft taken off me without reason or notification which has resulted in 2 charges (as I was unaware it had gone), one of which they will not now refund. I have also had to ring to remove a block on my card which has also caused problems for me. I am well fucked off with them and their shitty business practice and attitude (if I was in reach of the guy I spoke to in relation to one of the charges then I would have knocked 7 shades of shit out of him after the way he spoke to me), so please can somebody recommend a good bank. The main things I am after are internet banking, an authorized overdraft, and a QUALITY customer service.
