Post Match RB Leipzig - Weds Oct 23rd 20:00

Konate or VVD surely MOTM? Dealt with 2 really dangerous players really well.

A couple of great saves from Keheller too.

Gravy and Macca also excellent.

Konate, VVD, and Grav were all excellent. Good night for Nunez, too. Second half was a bit disappointing after ending the first half well, but, no injuries, away win and clean sheet. It'll more than do.

I just hope the midfield isn't getting run into the ground.

I really don't want to be negative after a win, but I fear that Slot is making the same mistake Klopp did and is running our midfield into the ground. Szobo, Gravy and Macca has played a lot this season.

I think the 3-4 day rest will help. And the fact our football isn't sooooo end to end, as much. Mind you, I did see a bit of tiredness in Gravy towards the end today.

Yep me too.
I'd imagine he's going to roll out the same midfield on Sunday.

And then they'll pretty much get a break for Brighton away in the league cup. Hopefully Harvey is back by then and we can play him, Jones and Endo.

Really hope so, but fuck me that midfield looks weak against Brighton. Might have to sacrifice the cup this season

The rest will help. I think Slot needs to start being more aggressive with his rotation/use of squad.

I think Jones will start for Szobo (hence Szobo 90 mins today and Jones 20 mins). Alongside Gravy and Macca.

Sunday - Wednesday - Sunday and then the league cup. No problem.

Why do people always say 'lucky' when our back line clearly plays for them. If he was onside then no 'goal' as per the others too. Bravo VvD.
Konate was looking at the ball, he had no idea where the striker was behind him and if the striker was competent enough he would have kept himself onside since he had a clear view of the "line".

Anyway you need luck to win games sometimes. You can't control the game 100% of the time. I am not sure what's so controversial about my comment.

I’m flabbergasted at how highly rated Konate was. That final 30 was inept from him. Had they scored in that period you’d be able to go directly to the worst of him.

Mo and Gakpo were poor. Diaz looked like he had been kidnapped and replaced by his dad on the pitch.

Not making any changes to centre mid was bonkers. Endo and Jones should’ve been on for gravy and who else is partnering him on Sunday.

It wasn’t all gloom and doom. He may eat shit Taytos but he’s not a bad keeper. Well apart from his weak ass effort to put the ball out.

There were spells where we played really football. Probably from 15 minutes to half time.

Shouldn’t complain about the three points but we should’ve put the game to bed and used the subs better.

Ibou was largely brilliant besides 1 or 2 brainfart moments, which he has in him.

Gakpo and Kostas linked up a few times nicely and were defensively sound once the drugs flushed out of Kostas’s system.

There wasn’t really much to shout about in the game, it was just sooooooooooooo sloooooooooooow.

And Trent is fucking shite.

Konate was brilliant apart from a few hick ups. Absolute monster. We've got 3 days of rest and training until the Arsenal game so it was no problem that we didnt rotate more in midfield.

Thought we played well against a very difficult opponent who is joint top in the Bundesliga and hadn't conceded a goal for 5 games.

Szobo played well and that was even more pleasing.
