Kuyt (5). Not having a great time of it. Couple of decent efforts, but largely ordinary.

Casper (4). Didn't do anything of note. Unsurprising really, because he is an inconsistent squad player.
They should both be 4s, and the only reason Casper should be lower is that he's actually in a good patch and we needed him last night. He failed to do anything.

Don't you think Dirk is also an inconsistent squad player considering how he's going through a similar dry spell as he did last year? I'm sure he'll bounce back and give us a few good months but we really need him to be 'on form' now and he's just not offering much unfortunately.

Given how many injuries we have, we need everyone on form. Not happening.

Which is why this season has been an unmitigated disaster.
He's playing too much. Kuyt, Lucas and Carragher must be fucking shattered.

Can you not see us going on a big run in the league? I mean we're 9 pts behind Chelsea - and that's not a lot this early on. We can win the league if we get healthy ... Surely you have a wee bit of hope left in you still ...

Not really. There's nothing left to play for except a Top 4 slot.

Big wow.

I am totally demoralised, but that said, I started the season feeling the same way, because I could see nothing but problems ahead.

Rafael has given up and i suggest you do the same thing. Our target now is to finish in top 4.

Big run in the league? We will face B'ham, Citeh, Everton(A), Blackburn(A) and Arsenal in the next five matches. Do you think we can win all five of them? I'm sure you will say yes so no need to answer that.

Well, I hope you're wrong. I mean, I'm demoralized too but I want to still 'dream' ...

the defenders don't deserve high scores for letting in such a shambolic goal in the final minute of the 90 (FFS!!)

I'm sorry, were you talking to me?

Reina (7). Reliable as ever

Carra (6). Decent enough

Agger (6). Was much better than his big, ugly sidekick but could have been sent off and soooo many long passes to nobody grrr.

Zorba (3). Disaster

Insua (5). Tried to provide some width but hes a nightmare defensively. 2 of our few chances came from his offensive play

Masher (8). Our best player on the night.

Lucarse (6). Meh. Passed the ball ok

Kuyt (5). Awful to watch when out of form

Casper (4). Poor night. The one positive run he made to get in behind was not seen by Kuyt who passed the ball backwards! Annoying

Voronin (1). Shit and judging by the look on his face he knows it. Should have been hooked at half time

Torres (5). The frustrated, pissed off version of Fernando Torres showed up

Reina 7

Carra 7
Agger 7
Greek 3
Insua 5

Masher 7
Lucas 5

Kuyt 4
Voronin 2
Benayoun 7

Torres 6

Babel 8

Last night convinced me Yossi just isn't cut out for the left side. I once thought he could learn the skills required simply because it seemed the only spot available for such an in form player, but he just can't be the same player out there, and he was terrible yesterday.

LW proirity for me: Aurelio, Reira, Babel, Yossi.
I'd have Riera ahead of Fabio.

Anyone know when either are likely to be back anyhow?
There's not much in it admittedly, but Aurelio gets the nod for me because of his set pieces and he's a better passer.

I'm not sure what's going on with Riera but he owes us some good performances.

Yeah, though Aurelio was wank against Sunderland and whoever with his crossing, so i don't think he's the perfect solution, although it's fair to say no-one is.

We all know LW is Yossi's least efficient position. He was poor in the last 2 games playing there. No surprise.
Lucas is a passenger, I only remember him when he was fouling a Lyon player being 2 seconds late for the challenge.
Brendan is right, some of his marks are laughable. He's truly shite.
Lucas, Voronin and Kuyt were our worst players on the pitch.
I dont understand anyone defending Deadly anymore.

But again its not the players fault if they're playing or being played out of position.
