The man of the match thing kinda does a disservice to some of the players, I wanna spaff over more than 3 of them
Mignolet - 6 Had fuck all to do really, but his distribution wasn't all that. Not helped much by Skrtel playing it to him with onrushing Spurs players
Johnson - 5 Terrored by Chadli a bit, caught out too high up the pitch a few times and bailed out by Sterling on more than one occasion.
Skrtel - 6 Not that adept at keeping the ball, put Mignolet under too much pressure more than once. Had to cover Johnson though, did that well
Sakho - 8 Absolute beast, the kind of player i've wanted since Hyypia left. Dominant in the air, can pass well and aware of the players around him. Kept Soldado quiet
Flanagan - 8 Lots were worried before the game but he more than held his own against Lennon who got more frustrated as the game went on. Great goal, and a fantastic tackle late on for a ball he had no right to win. Improving game by game
Lucas - 7 Got himself about well and distributed the ball quickly. Keeps tempo well and won more headers than I expected him to
Allen - 7.5 Harried the Spurs players from the off and passed the ball about well. Improving but could be more incisive still
Henderson - 8.5 Great performance, popped up everywhere, never stopped working and ended up with a goal and an assist to show for it. Range of passing, and the speed of which he does it is much improved
Sterling - 8.5 Ripped the shit out of Naughton, had to be marked by 2 men at times and filled out at RWB whenever Johnson went on a wander. End product and decision making much better than it has been. A few starts is doing wonders for his confidence. That ball for Henderson's goal was one I didn't think he was capable of
Coutinho - 7 Not imperious but played wide left a lot and couldn't always get the best of Walker. When he could cut inside he created a lot of space for Henderson and Suarez to run into
Suarez - 9 Unplayable at times, sublime vision and range of quick passing to release others, 2 great goals and a terrorised back 4
