That second free kick from Suarez was as good as any dead ball strike I've seen for quite some time. Agree with the 9 for him. If only someone could have joined him there.

I promised not to mention one of them any more and in the match thread I was supposedly a cunt if I mentioned the other player. Hence blocking their names and my rating.
To tell you the truth, one did OK the other one didn't. You guess who's who.
I woke up my wife and kids when Suarez hit that second goal ... I was like, "are you kidding me? WOWWWW"

You know you always try to consciously be controversial about Downing, which is why you've left him off, not as a reasonable attempt to not mention him and not stir things, instead you once again leave it open to interpretation (soz for not bringing the crystal ball), you know what you're doing every time.
And for the record, it was probably, by recent standards, a below par performance from him, but it still wasn't 'poor', he put in some good deliveries and generally did well, Johnson wasn't really at the races, which certainly didn't help him, their link up play wasn't nearly as good as it has been over the last few months.

- Solid. A much welcomed improvement from him

- Great first half. Started to go off course in the second. Probably a fair call to substitute him.

- I can't understand all the 9s you guys are giving him. That performance was a 10. Possibly an 11.

- Lets not go there. Other than couple of routine passes, he was awful.

- Thought he played really well when he came on. He looks a lot better than I remember. Looking forward to seeing more of him.

- Made very little impact when he came on
Agree almost completely with you nealmac (Especially giving Suarez a 10 - Finest performance by a Red I've seen in a long time) Downing I'd give a 5 or maybe a 6 - How about 5.5?
In that case you'd have to give Sterling a 5 or less. Downing was definitely better than him.
Ooops - I guess you are right. I just never noticed Sterling on the pitch. Or if I did I tried to erase it from my memory. Giving him a 5 would be a massive bonus for him.
I thought he did his job well enough. Whipped in a couple of good crosses. Made a good tackle. Tracked back. But he was quiet for a long spell too. I've definitely seen him play better. Overall, I'm very happy with his recent contributions and I hope he keeps it up. He deserves his place in the starting 11.

Although to be fair, he didn't get a lot of time to do much. But what I saw wasn't anything to write home about. He looked nervous the couple of times he was on the ball and not very convincing.
