Becker - 6 would have been a 7 if not for his dodgy punch in the 2nd half
Trent - 6.5 looked rusty on the crosses. Little to do defensively. Extra .5 for his free kick.
Gomez - 7 seriously guys. 1st game back competitively since his injury. Got a chance to cement his place in his favoured position. Still 21 he's going to make a mistake or two. He's alongside VvD who'll turn him into a boss defender. Better 2nd half. What more do you want?
VvD - 8 so fucking assured. Love his 'you shall not pass' ethos. Worth every god damn penny and then some.
Robertson - 8.5 our best scottish player since Kenny no ifs or buts.
Milner - 10 simply cannot find a fault in his performance today. Copy the video and send it to every yoot midfielder we have and say COPY!! We must give him an extension. He deserves it.
Keita - 9 'Are you not entertained?' He was everywhere. Literally everywhere. If he'd capped it with a goal, it'd have been a 10.
Gini - 7.5 wasn't baaaad.. Just wasn't amazeballs like the other two. A couple of sloppy passes and his usual misfiring shots.
Salah - 8 lovely tap in. Always a menace. One or two flicks didn't come off. But hey he's immense.
Bobby - 7.5 see Gini. However minus the 'Usual'. Good assist but could have had a goal or two at his clinical best.
Mane - 9.5 any other day and he'd have been MOTM. Simply superb. Cuntyo who?

Shaqiri - N/A not enough time to showcase his talent
Studge - N/A Great finish. I really really hope his glass legs hold out for a full season. What a weapon when he's fit and in the mood.
I said at half time, I geniunely haven't been this excited at the start of a season in like.. Well ever. Probably since we smashed 6 past Palace back in the 90's.

TAA : 6 HIs crossing really was poor and positioning dubious but there's no way I'd take Clyne over him. He'll improve as the season progresses, he is still just out of puberty remember.
Gini : 8.5 I thought he had a great game dominating the midfield and was one of our best players. Pity about his finishing.
Milner : 9 More than rose to the challenge. Impossible to drop him after that. What a battle for midfield places there's going to be this season.
Keita : 9 I've seen him far better than this which tells you how much there is to come. So excited, I wanted this kid before we were even in for him and could hardly believe we got him.
Mane : 9 That was an awesome performance. It's incredible to see that some people don't even have him in their Top 3 in the MOTM thread !
Firmino : 7 Clearly unfit yet still integral. So much more to come.
Salah : 7 A little greedy today but still frightened the life out of them. They were double/triple teaming him at times which created space just inside him which we looked to exploit from midfield. Could be a deliberate tactic from Klopp this season.

So in a vain attempt to up my post count, as was pointed out in the Fekir ( may he rest in peace ) thread, I wanted to add my thoughts. Didn't watch the game, caught the highlights and read all the reports.
Keita looks fantastic, his driving runs and desire to go past people we have missed, in many ways it feels like the Ox was bought to cover the fact we couldn't get Keita last summer. I didn't see that attempted to shoot much, was that lack of opportunity or holding himself back and still working out where the front 3 are running?
I was a bit nervous before the game, West ham had bought "well" ( read spent a shit load ) and we have had issues in the recent past with those wankers, but the way we closed them out was fantastic.

I enjoy posting and watching or I wouldnt pay $80 a month just to get up at 1am to watch us every weekend.
Don't confuse my lack or posting about how amazing we are and how we are going to win the league for not loving the club (and the city and people for that matter)
We haven't won anything in 6 years so until we do I'll hold off on celebrations.
I don't see us having enough depth to win the league but I do think we'll go one better in the CL.
