There are some other memories which are as revealing tho; there've been some posters on here who've always been very critical of Rafa..and as the minority, they've always borne the brunt of the majority's withering fire..I remember one particular witch-hunt against these posters when we were flying last year and were chasing the Mancs for the title..at the time I thought, fair enough..
We were doing well and I suppose those posters criticising Rafa were dead wrong...amazing how quickly things change.
I'd just like to say that whilst Dreamy and rage make easy targets, perhaps we should actually start winning games before being so gleeful about how stupid they are.

Thanks Avey and I agree.

You're right Avemon. It is easy to target Dreamy about how stupid he is.
But that is besides the point. The withering fire that you cite is a direct reaction to the sigh inducing negative commentary (at least it is for me).
I think that what Glock, Rage, and Dreamy have in common is their consistent inability to provide rational critical analysis about the team's performance. It is quite obvious to anyone with more than two brain cells to rub together that there are many, many factors that conspire to bring success or failure. Reducing this in each and every thread to the simple fault of the manager is an assault on the intellect of each and every one of us.
Indeed, Benitez could possibly be the key to the overall current poor level of performance, but the tedious, lazy assertions (because they are easy to make in the place of real analysis) of these aforementioned individuals continually erodes the probability of there ever being a real, valid, criticism of his actions as a contributing factor.
It's sad, because I'd actually like to see an intellectually uncompromised evaluation of Benitez against his peers, and alongside the other key contributors to the difficulties faced by our team. The irony is that Rage et al are the ones who are actually preventing it from happening.[/quote]
Couldn't have put it better myself. I have tried but I've ended up losing my rag(e)...
Its nice to see Rage is reverting back type (pre big bust up) ie his usual dull, monotonous tirade about how the manager is to blame for anything.
The bit in bold above is what the hystericals need to learn. There are some who seem to be able to provide rational debate about Benitez, but as you say they get lost in the tsunami effect created by Rage, Dreamy, Lechachal etc.
I've almost given up the debating save for the odd comment, simply because these hystericals don't, won't and can't see it any other way. In fact I'd like these people to put me on ignore, that way I can't see them and they can't see me... 😉 It won't happen though.

the threads about rafa ffs, we've won 1 in 10 and the league is over for us in october. the manager may not be responsible for my tea being burned tonight but i'm struggling to see how he's not responsible for this.
