Purslow has stepped down

I just got word, Montse will be appointed Caretaker manager by our new interim CEO, she'll have Roffa on the mobile from Italia for most games, and will be calling the shots. Roffa feels managing two teams will be the ultimate test for his tactical nous.

Rumor has it, the players are delighted at this improved managerial situation!!

It was a bit of insurance just in case NESV start thinking along the lines of Hicks and Gillette in relation to debts placed on the club.

I'm as jaded as they come with business stuff, but there's NO way they will place debts. It was the single biggest factor that led to H and G demise and the breakdown of their rapport with the fans. The NESV group are not that daft.
 
Hodgson is deffo a dead man walking now.
I'm totally intrigued by who the Americans will bring in.
Will it be one of the names being bandied around or will it be an out of left field surprise like NESV.
I think Epstein was exactly that in the US but how much do they know about football?

That was always a silly silly statement. I doubt even he believed it. What does a multi-millionaire like Purslow care about a "job". More likely it was his love for the club, and at least his reputation mixed in too (as it is, with most of us)
 
there is no going to be another situation where the yanks can be out voted. G&H being out voted was born out of the deal with RBS.
 
Well, that's the reason I was hoping he'd stay...he may have made mistakes, especially with appointing Hodgson..but apart from that he's been magnificent in trying to do his best for the club..

The owners want to bringin their own people, as is their right.

I just hope the new guy has some loyalty to the club as well as to his bosses.

you have to assume the chairman will be a NESV guy so purslow staying would have been irrelavent in overturning a decision by the owners.
 
Avoid going to RAWK at any course, I assume there must be a big celebration..the cult that force Rafa out has resigned.

I don't know if this is good or bad news tbh. But it does make sense that Purslow is essentially a money man and that he'll be replaced by someone with more in-depth football knowledge. At least, I hope so. Or I hope that the new chief executive chooses a director of football. We need someone (on the lines of Theo Epstein) who has a vision for the club, both on and off the pitch.

I seriously doubt whether that's Joe Whatsisname. He was just some lowly executive at NESV. Surely being a Liverpool supporter is not enough in itself to get him the biggest job at the club?!

Just spoke to my mate who works at LFC TV channel. He says Roy's interview yesterday was so srange they are not allowed to show it or post any transcripts. he says that when asked about the Napoli game he says its an utter distraction and waste of time for him.

He also said that Napoli fans were deliquents who hurl bricks at the coach. Went onto talk about his time when visiting Napoli with Inter saying that a mother and daughter gave the team middle finger coming out of a church.

Mate seems to think his interview was incredibly strange, controversial and backwards. Its been banned.
