We turn the ball back to the defence far far too often. Got a FK around ⅔ up the pitch ? Well let's pass it back (instead of flooding the box and maybe seeing it drop to us. Hendo with 30 secs to go and a good position to get it into the box again? Oh pass it backwards to run down the clock.

Once bitten ...

Darwin's made some decent runs again, the passes just seem to be lacking. Either too late or completely out his path

Great ball gomez. Bobby told him exactly where he wanted it and boom

Thoughts

1) I think this team would struggle against Roy Hodgson's Liverpool - we've fallen that far, and that quick.
2) The team just looks like it's bottom of the table team - confidence, speed, cohesion etc is gone.
3) Tsimikas used to be able to defend - he got skinned twice. Wow
4) VvD one of the best defenders in the world? LOL having a laugh.
5) If we only had enough money for one big investment, we screwed up royally by not putting Nunez money into midfield. It is so poor game after game after game.
6) This is Klopp's biggest challenge - bigger than the one he started with. He has to break free of his loyalty, and approach to football, and rebuild everything. I can only imagine he sees all the issues - because he's too smart - but a lot of them start with him and he HAS to improve. I just hope he has the strength, and desire, to do so because our drop will be even bigger if he decides to walk come season's end.
7) So much of this is on our fucking owners. It's tough to re-state the same horsehit - there is no drafts here folk, there is no comp picks, there are now 'free agents' like there are in American sports to suddenly rebuild a 'franchise.' Responsible and honest ownership is the right way forward, even when we see fucking cheating pricks like Man City do what they want when they want, but sometimes a business HAS to take risks to take the next step in its development. They blew it and they may not have another chance as barring a miracle, I just cannot see us finishing top 4 - heck, i'll be impressed if we finish top 7 the way we're going.

Why are you having a go at Virgil today?
Him and Konate look good together. Calma.

Anyway, great ball by Gomez.
Nunez link up play has been excellent in the 2nd half.

Not really having a go - just think he was poor imo on their goal, and besides some lovely quotes, doesn't seem like he's as invested this season. Maybe he's holding it all in so he can play in the world cup, and then we'll have Virgil back in Jan

This team would fucking destroy Roy hodgsons Liverpool.

I just said they'd 'struggle' against them, as they've done in almost every game they've played - bar Bournemouth, Ajax H etc ... It's a team that gave up 3 goals to Brighton, and has struggled against Fulham, Palace etc ... They'd struggle ... Tough to say that but that's what I feel.

Virgil got a serious knee injury at a bad age. Not being physically as dominant might take him a while to come to terms with.
