Was lucky enough to spend last 5 days at Melwood working with @FoxSoccer on their six-part @LFC series. Here's 5 things I learnt this week..

Paul Rogers ‏@PaulRogersLFC
1. Lucas so happy to be back in full training, he's like a kid at Xmas. On exercise bike with Carra, Carra said he's 1 of our best players

2. Joe Coles is one of the most popular players amongst staff at Melwood - particularly canteen ladies. Always says hello to everyone.

3. New training regime is very different to recent years. All about very quick passing on mini-pitches with goalkeepers fully involved

4. The last man at Melwood on Friday @ 7.15pm when I left was the boss. He was first in @7.30am. His Fox interview was like hearing Shankly

5. Having been present for every minute of the @foxsoccer filming of the series so far, it's going to be absolutely amazing viewing.

With regards Brendan Rodgers, I can't say enough good things about what I've seen and heard from him - as boss & person - on and off camera

cant wait for that documentary, the thread they have on rawk for it is absolutely ridiculous, they seem to think that the cameras will be filming kenny gettin sacked with coldplay music over the top, they also seem to think fsg are akin to hicks and gillette, hope those fans fuck off when we startwinning stuff the bitter bellends

Who is Paul Rogers ?

His tweets sound well "on message".

"Everything's totally super and ace here...YIPPEE !"

Sama and Baio I believe.

Yeah, I agree.

Glad to see Pacheco there, I still haven't gave up hope on him yet, he had a good footballing education at Barca from 12-16 and you don't become top scorer in an international tournament and just turn to shit.

LeTallent and Pongolle say hello...

Paul Rogers is head of content on the offal.

Only a good thing that he's positive imho, been to much negativity for to long.

Yes, it is a good thing that he's positive.
There *has* been too much negativity for too long.

Haha I was waiting on someone bringing up these two chumps. They were 16 years old when they won their respective awards, Pacheco achieved his when he was more developed and the opponents were better, older and much more physically imposing. There's a hell of a difference between 16 and 19. Plus they were French, so they were cocks. Why is it all our French players have been so shit? Cheyrou, Arphexad, Cisse, Diomede, Ferri, Luzi, N'gog, Traore and El Zhar (both more or less), Plessis, Vignal...ironically the one we thought was going to be a tube turned out to be the best French player to pull on the red shirt - Anelka. Even those whose first language is French are not immune to playing shite when they move to us - Diouf, Diao, Song, probably Degen too.

God, I still feel like crying about Ged signing Diouf and not Anelka.

I was gutted Anelka didn't sign permanently. He loved it at Liverpool and he was one of Europe's finest forwards at the time. Crazy decision.

As for Diouf, i was actually quite excited about him joining after watching him in 2002 World Cup. Little did we know he'd be shit and a Grade A cunt.

Pre season tour update:

TheKopMagazine: Jordon Ibe, Ryan McLaughlin & Danny Ward amongst the kids going on #LFC's North American tour. Aquilani will wear number 18

TheKopMagazine: Loads asking if Sterling is in USA tour squad. He is. So are Pacheco, Brad Smith, Adam Morgan, Stephen Sama & Kris Adorjan
-------------

Chuffed about McLaughlin, Irish connection maybe. Nah, he merits a place, the kid is very talented (Johnson hasn't returned yet either).

AQUAMAN, PATCHES AND ADORABLE!!!!

Naffing Anelka off was GH's first major blunder (and was said to have amazed a number of people within the club at the time).

I wasn't convinced about Diouf TBH. I didn't think we'd seen enough of him over a long enough period to be sure of what we were getting.

According to TAW, Ibe has been extremly impressive training with the first team.

I watched a few videos of him and was very impressed, not as much as I was with Suso and Sterling but he'd be the next player i'd bet on making it to our first-team.
