We're looking rather pedestrian to be honest. Full-backs offering very little quality, and the midfield bar Brannagan hasn't been doing much. Coutinho and Firmino haven't been bad. Expect more from Mane though. Really needs to pick up the ball and start running at players.

I think Ejaria will play a fair bit this season, his quality is astoundingly obvious.

Brannagan is probably our best indirect set piece taker.

His touch on the ball is really lovely.

We lacked a bit in the final third there but should be infront.

Matip looks better and better. Read that he cant jump properly yet as he had an operation this summer on his ankle.

Karius looks very good. Calm and composed and commanding his area.
Wouldnt worry about that nearly miss, he saved it in the end. Difficult when the ball is played acrossed the box there anyway. He's nothing like Ming.

Coutinho looked very sharp. Brannagan and Ejaria also positive.

Mane a bit more reserved today but loads of our final passes were a bit overhit.

Hmm. Karius or the CBs really haven't had anything to do. Brannagan started brightly, but ended the half quietly. Ejaria was the other way round though. Some nice play by him in the last 10 minutes of the half.

Obviously, it's only pre-season, and this is pretty much our B side; but it still feels we lack a bit of quality through the squad.
