Pre Match - West Ham (H) - Weds

We just have our performance of the season against City with a solid formation and 10 mins later people are talking about trying Trent as a right winger? What the actual fuck. Keep it simple, stick to the formation that allows us to get the best out of Salah and Firmino.

I'd take Milner and Thiago out to allow them a breather, but won't be surprised if Thiago plays

----------------------Alisson
Gomez - Konate - VvD - Robbo
----Hendo --- Fabinho -- Elliot
---Salah ---- Firmino --- Nunez

---------------Alisson-------------
Milner--Gomez-VVD-Robbo
-------------Fabinho------------
------Trent-----------Thiago--
--Elliott----Salah----Nunez-

I would try that, but also would consider the following - 4 -4 -2 formation - if Jones can play

----------------- THOR ----------------
Trent----Gomez---VVD-----Robbo
Elliot---Fabinho---Thiago---Jones
Salah --- Nunez

All I would say is that - we stop all the gung-ho shit we have tried against other teams where we think we are superior as it has not worked against the likes of Fullham, Crystal Palace, Everton, and other shite. Oud midfielders don't have the legs for it - none of this over-the top high line garbage even against West Ham who I think have a better midfield than ours right now. We need to play clever and chose our moments of sustained attack and hope to God that Nunez makes the right calls when he creates chances.

Konate back in contention for this?

Worrying how light we are in attack now with Jota & Diaz out. I felt we needed one more in the summer after Mane Origi Taki all left.

Again - it's OK we never replace our players - I know FSG are into Net Spend and all, but I think its a real problem when you try and also take that to another level where you want to improve your Net Player count to zero.

I think we need to rotate for this game, otherwise we risk a serious physical drop-off after such an intense game on Sunday. I would save Milner, Thiago and Robbo's legs for another game. If Konate isn't fit, play Phillips at CB and Gomez at RB. Maybe Trent can come in and try to play in Elliott's position in the 2nd half, like he did at the end of the game vs City. I would opt for Carvalho starting at LW and Nunez coming off the bench yet again – guile might be more important than physicality against a team like West Ham and we need to have at least one game-changer on the bench.

---------------Alisson----------------
--------Phillips-----Van Dijk--------
Gomez--------------------Tsimikas
----------Fabinho--Hendo---------
Elliott----------------------Carvalho
-------Salah-----Firmino-----------

Subs: Kelleher, Milner, Trent, Robbo, Thiago, Bajcetic, Jones, Ox(?), Nunez

It will be a tough game and the most important task is to maintain the same defensive concentration and solidity we showed against City – if we do that, I'm sure the attacking players will find one or two goals necessary for a win.

West Ham is a much tougher game, I'd rather put Tsimikas, Carvahlo and Phillips up against a toothless Forest side and use our A team against West Ham to build some momentum.

We're playing Wednesday and Saturday early kick off. We need to rotate in both games.
I expect Carvalho to start at least one of them. Trent is back in contention to start as well.

Half these fuckers are getting a month off in a few weeks time - we need momentum between now and then - rotation has been killing us so far - keep that to a minimum ands stick with the formation that’s working.

We can re-boot in Jan when we sign the 43 midfielders Moron wants us to…. and the new RB Donner Van is craving.

Nunez has played LW and can, as he showed yesterday, so can cover for Bobby there whilst spending more time up front when feasible but when Carvalho comes on Nunez then pushes more central.

-----------------Alisson-------------

Trent -- Gomez -- VvD -- Robbo

--------- Fabinho -- Thiago

--------- Elliott ---- Firmino (sub. Carvalho)

--------- Salah----Nunez

Haha. What on earth is that ? This isn't FF or CM you know. Are you even aware how a 4-2-2-2 work and the responsibilities of each player required in that system ?

In the last 2 matches, Klopp has deployed a dynamic 4-4-2, which interchanges to a 4-2-4/4-2-3-1 especially when we counter-attack or are in the opposition's half.

It's also one of the reasons why Harvey has been pretty effective protecting that right flank. Salah also has been played to his strengths by moving him more to a central position.

It'd be very interesting to see how we adapt when Trent returns. Trent and Harvs will have to learn how to link up with one another on the right flank, like how he and Milner did pretty well against City. And if they want to play in triangles, Salah can come in from the middle for those quick 1-2s into the wide areas of the box. That way, they wont all congest the wide areas, or even get in the way of each other, especially when the opposition man-mark/zone-mark Salah.

Yes, I think Klopp will play this formation too, except maybe he may start Nunez. And no change for the back 4, with Trent replacing Milner.

A much different game to be expected compared to City. West ham will be defensive, sit back and look to counter with bowen.
So, I wonder how we will approach that part.

Try reading the small print. I know it's really really difficult for you and images easier, but it will stop you making a total arse of yourself. Like now.
To simplify just for you it's a 4-2-3-1 / 4-4-2 depending on the players on the pitch. As the text states in fact. Or do I need to amend the graphic for you?

Makes sense, but I simply wouldn’t play Milner at RB for 2 games in a row. Likewise, better not to risk Thiago unnecessarily and Robbo just came back from injury and Tsimikas is a more than able substitute. I don’t think bar Thiago there is any meaningful division into A team and B team there.

Ibou not back in training but expected back in a few days. Guessing we'll see:

Trent Gomez Virgil Robbo

Pretty much what he said himself. I doubt he'd try to get out of any ban.
Interesting though nothing was said to guardiola who was shouting at the ref as he passed to check var and more importantly nothing said about him deliberately winding up the Liverpool crowd with his jestering after the goal was disallowed. I assumed atm he was trying to spur the scum fans not wind up ours.
Was that the time he had coins thrown at him? Going by city logic, they're were no excuses for Liverpool fans throwing coin but....

Erm, can't remember the details-- @Woland's mates were staying at the same place as him for one of the Euro finals and despite the expected bants he chatted away to them about footy and paid for their drinks. I could be completely inventing this.

I remember that being the gist of it.
