No idea what to expect with a game at West Ham on the Sunday but then a whole week til United afterwards.

Feels harsh to drop Szobo but Leicester will surely park the bus.

Alisson

Trent
Gomez
Virgil
Tsimikas

Gravy
Macca
Jones

Salah
Jota
Gakpo

I dont think Jota looked ready to start in his cameo today, but some rotation is surely needed.
Robbo needs a rest so that he can start against West Ham.

Your line up is pretty spot on.
Not sure if Jota is fit enough to start, but he kinda has to sooner or later.
I do however have a feeling that Nunez might start and Jota comes on in the second half.

We’re going to be the first side to score six in three consecutive league games…Leicester and West Ham are getting run over.
Mhm that's what we thought against Fulham.
The players need to respect Leicester.
Yes the potential for a rout is there but Leicester are fighting for their survival in the league they won't capitulate imo.

I'd go with the same team but Jones in the midfield for Szobo and then use all 5 subs in the second half.

West Ham will be the tougher game. Leicester will be a turkey shoot.

I hope the Gods of the Jinx are well and truly liquored up over Christmas and off their game.

Half a dozen posts into this thread and we already need to start making a list of multiple sacrifices just to make it through to 2025 in one piece.

Didn't RVN score quite often against us?

There's Vardy too, so I don't think it will be an easy game at all.

I want at least 3-4 changes compared to Spurs:

Alli

Trent
Gomez
Van Dijk
Tsimikas

Gravvy
Jones
Elliott

Salah
Jota
Gakpo

Hope Konate makes the bench.

I was also wondering about the conundrum that is fitting Jones and Elliot into same XI as they both play same position.

I’m still highly unconvinced of Jones in the double pivot.

Slot can go with a more conventional 4-3-3 in this game to allow Jones to get into more advanced positions where he does his best work. Could be good for Elliott too.

I was hoping Gravy was either booked or subbed against spurs. Neither happened and I know Slot will play Gravy yet again.

Ali
Trent
Gomez
Van dijk
Tsimikas
Gravenberch even though it should be ninja
Jones
Slobby
Salah
Jota
Gakpo

He could also play Nunez at DM. When we drop Jones to the double pivot, we more often than not get overrun in midfield. He is better up the pitch. His calling card of holding on to the ball for too long can be a problem, although against Leicester it might be less of a problem.

Leicester's game after us is at home to Man City. Would actually be brilliant (and hilarious) if they rest a few players against us thinking they have a better chance against City if fresh.

Also looks like their keeper is injured so our old boy Danny Ward should be in nets, with other old boy Conor Coady in defence.

Since he has taken over Leicester have conceded 74 shots in 3 games or something crazy. Our forwards will have a field day.

Ya Ruud will have them fired up. I’d take a 1-0 and no injuries now!

Will he have them fired up? Or will he have them defending for their lives having seen how many shots they have conceded in the last few games? The Spurs game will actually tell teams not to attack too openly against us as we are getting our shit together and will pick them apart on the counter. I expect a parked bus with someone like Cordova Reid deployed on the counter. Part of me even expects Vardy to be rested as I don't think he has 3 games a week in him.

Anyway let's see.

Yes this team, however if Jota is not fit then Nunez. I'd like Gravy to get more of a rest before this Xmas / NY period.

It’s beginning to look a Slot like Christmas
Everywhere we gooooo
We’ve got Dominik in the 10
And Salah scores again
With Ali, Gravy, Virgil and Gakpooooo
Coming along nicely until the last line

We have a full week's rest between the West Ham game and the Man U game.
I say play the best available team.
Our next hectic period is between Jan 5 - 14, where we play four games. Although, two of them are cup games.
