I'm hesitant to start this so soon, as the moment we experienced yesterday is why we watch football. We are absolutely blessed with some of the greatest moments to have ever happened in football.

Do we have time to recover from those incredible scenes and prepare for facing a Burnley team who seem to be coming out of their shell (hopefully to our advantage, if they play like they did against Leeds against us).

Anyway. I think it has to be same bar a rested Gini coming back in. I worry about our bench - i think Klopp needs to think about promoting the high performers from the academy/U23s instead of plodders like Woodburn and Shaq (who was utterly shite).

Let's get Gordon, Polish Messi on the bench as options.

Hopefully Burnley stay on the beach. We are sure to be on a high but Klopp will no doubt have impressed on them the need to revert to a performance (and press) more like vs. United than West Brom.

WTF do we have such abysmal luck with injuries ! Jota out when we need him the most so rotation almost impossible up front and in defence, 3 games in a week is going to test them.

Pope, Brady, Bardsley and Long almost certainly all out for Burnley.

Klopp : May 16: "Millie hopefully could be ready for Wednesday. We take what we get."
Klopp : May 16: "Oxlade is not in the squad, was ill a few days. We decided not to take him here just to give him now another session today that he is ready for Wed."
Keita and Kabak won't be back this season so the squad we saw vs. WBA is what we have for the last two games (plus Millie & Ox).

I am very very averse to playing Gini for two reasons a) he hardly ever passes forward and is one of the least creative players we have. Thaigo, Jones, Shaq and Milner all better in that regard, and b) he's off.

Another hard fought win with us missing a ton of chances, 0-1.

Sorry but Gini has to play.
Normally, I'd say that Klopp should focus on the players available next season but we don't have anyone better atm.
Also I think Fabs, Gini and Thiago played really well together against Man U.

Wijnaldum in for Jones would be the only change I'd make.

We don't have a huge number of other options at the moment anyway by the looks of it.

Really strange, they never talked about the game just Roy and the Alisson Goal

I agree. I was secretly hoping against West Brom that starting Jones was a great decision but for whatever reason it did not result in any chance creation or goals. So for now better to go with what worked against Scums.

Is Milner fit??

I’d like to see him play.

We owe them!
Probably not accoring to This is Anfield
Looking ahead to Wednesday’s trip to Burnley, the Reds will be able to use Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain as an option but the jury is still out as to James Milner‘s involvement.
“Milly will train [today], is that then enough to be involved? I will see. Ox is back and Naby is not in team training, not [involved] tomorrow, for sure,” Klopp added.

But DJ has a slim chance still of retuing for the Palace game.

Nat will take care of many things in the air. Just worried that Rhys will get drawn all over but hopefully he has learned from past 2 games.

I fucking hate Burnley the team. Just wish they would fuck off and get relegated. For all the bad shit surrounding FSGs plans for super league and that other idea earlier on about sorting the PL, the biggest winner for me would be not having to watch us play this torrid shit of a team managed by that guy who seems to inexplicably give his players that extra motivation to beat us. Fuck off Dyche.

Any sign of Henderson, would be good to have him in the squad to get us over the line.

Won't be back this season. His 4 week layoff in Feb turned into a season ending injury. At this point I don't even believe it's luck, I think we are running our players into the ground.

We really do need to look at the reason behind so many injuries (we currently have 10 to the next high in the PL at 6) but I don't think it's "running them into the ground" because simply for the majority of those injured that wasn't the case.

Notably VvD (fuck Dino), Matip (recurring bad back over his career), Gomez (just jogging around on England duty), Jota (hasn't been a regular starter and it was a bad foul), Keita (one injury after another but he's hardly played), Ox (bad luck), Phillips, Alisson etc. whereas those that have played the most ; Mo, Mane, Firmino, Gini, TAA, Robbo etc. have hardly had any issues at all. Hendo is possibly the only one who falls into that category, maybe Fabinho too?

I've learned from the past 2 games that he can't be trusted yet. They need to get someone pitch side to keep yelling at him

Bricking it for tonights game. Going by Dyches pre game presser it sounded like he'll swap the two up top and start Barnes and Rodriguez.
Either way, its gonna be a tough one.

Bricking. It.

Agree to a certain extent, VvD was very unfortunate. The likes of Ox and Shaq were frequently injured on before they joined us. But other players seem to just develop an inability to stay fit once they join us. Keita, Jota, Allison. Look at the likes of Kabak and Davies, played all season with no issues and as soon as we signed them the immediately become injury concerns.

There has to be something in the way we are training our players thats making them more susceptible to breaking down. It's possibly that this is a freakish anomaly that's just a one off this season but I'm inclined to think that's unlikely.

We've actually played less games that most of the top teams this year. Man Utds game in the EL final will be their 61st of the season, our game this Sunday will be our 52nd.

when i saw the highlights, it reminded me of Lovren, lol. Rhys is certainly talented and I hope he brings the decisiveness to his game, either fucking commit to the challenge or hold the position ... but never fucking land in no-man's land where it does not help anyone.

I am fucking nervous. Not a good feeling at all. We will blow this away. They have had their arses kicked by Leeds, and will be on their toes to show they have something more to offer.

Yes I agree. That comparison of games played does however strengthen the case that it's not "running them into the ground" that has been the issue.

They really do need to carry out an investigation because frankly, the amount of injuries we've had is just ridiculous.

Are they allowed back from the sunny Blackpool beach or will they need to quarantine?

Ass to mouth?

I believe that we train with harder intensity than many of the other PL teams. We push hard in training, and of course for some this will not be easy to cope with.

Some are just not ready for this and carry a history of injuries as well (Oc and Shaq). Others comes in new and have to adapt in short time (Kabak and Davies). Others again has probably just not coped with our regime and need to either adapt or just move on (Keita and possible Mtip/Gomez)).

I know it sounds simple and that we should adapt our training to avoid players getting injured, but we are aiming for the top prices and Klopp and the backroom staff is also pushing extreme hard to put us in position to reach the top. We have shown we can compete, but no doubt we need players capable to handle the intesity to be there. Milner and Gini has been example of guys that has been able to deliver on that level without being to much injured (I know Milner has been injured lately), and that is the consistency we need. Hence it is difficult to replace guys like Bobby, Gini, Millie
