I know CL games = $200k or whatever for the winner of a tie but going forward

GK - Kelleher

RB - Neco
CB - Konate / Gomez
LB - Tsmikas

CM - Morton
CM - Not Fabinho / Hendo / Ox / Thiago
CM - Not Fabinho / Hendo / Ox / Thiago

LW - Salah
CF - Origi (give him games)
RW - Mane

I agree with @SummerOnions about Minamino, but I would also play Philips and Konate for one of the remaining games

Shit officials but good performance (generally) and result.

While I'd also make big changes in the next 2, I wouldn't so easily risk momemtum especially if still unbeaten at that point.

2,3 mill £ for winning a group stage match.
Its more than winning the entire Carabao cup.

Try 2.5 M

Not worth it after what you pulled off last year!
Sadly there is zero chance we rest players in the CL going by what Klopp just said

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp to BT Sport: "In the second half of course, that's how it is. We lost a player through injury with Roberto Firmino. People want to see more goals but we did create more chances. I think the game was nearly perfect.

"We scored the goals in the right moments. They were much more on the front-foot with how they started than the home game but we started well. They were fantastic finishes as well, especially Sadio Mane. With the red card, well, you don't like that, you don't want to play against 10 men but in the end it's 2-0 and it was a great night.

"The referee was [in control] but I really hate the moment when I had to take off Sadio Mane. You could see that every challenge in the air, you don't know what could happen. I didn't like it but in the end, you have to do it.

"You earn a lot of money to win Champions League games! The first target was to get through this group. But we did it with two games to go. What can we do? We will have to see. I didn't expect we would be through after four games but the boys did it and it's really well deserved."

Makes sense, except jota, I mean konate, may get injured then Klopp will be lambasted for the rest of the season for playing him in a dead rubber.
Then which two CB would you play...?
It was mentioned that it Should be Konate and Gomez he could pick up the Injury with Gomez.

All I am advocating is that we play Konate and Phillips together for one game, Let them start to get an understanding of how each other plays
Beside any of the CB could pick up an injury in the remaining CL group stages should the need arise for them to play together

He got booed for acting a cunt with Barca over 2 legs and trying to act all big with them and went out of his usual cunty ways to do so, couldn’t care less about him getting booed or even he scored tonight to be honest. Suarez in general now is all a bit meh for me, thanks for the league cup but now fck off...

Salah is always healthy but you're right -

GK - Kelleher

RB - Neco
CB - Konate / Gomez
LB - Tsmikas

CM - Morton
CM - Not Fabinho / Hendo / Ox / Thiago
CM - Not Fabinho / Hendo / Ox / Thiago

LW - Minamino
CF - Origi (give him games)
RW - Gordon or Polish Messi

Next game isn't for 3 weeks, highly likely we will see a few of Ox, Keita, Jones or Milner starting. I think Hendo Fabinho and Thiago will be held back

I said it makes sense, I have no issue playing Konate

I'm just saying that after the stick Klopp got last year for daring to play one or two first team regulars in the final match and arranging for one of them to get injured, he can expect more of the same if Konate so much as breaks a toenail

Can't stay with the thread tonight but I wanted to let everyone know that Old Faithful is fired up and ready for the fray. 😎

I’m following the rules.

1. Watch on new faithful.
2. Don’t post on match thread during the game.

Every game bar the two league games, I’ve watch live on “new faithful”.

“New faithful” became sentient at the end of March - if we’ve lost since then... it’s not on it!!!!

I have to say though... West Ham is asking me to make sacrifices - 3.30am on a Monday morning - that’ll hurt.

But for the idiot ref it could've been an interesting second half. I do like the way they move the ball and good for us to counter a good team playing decent stuff. Never like sendings off unless they are fully deserved. Just think the lad was playing silly buggers. Ref went OTT..

Still 5-0.
I'm delighted the ref stood up to the players. He's in charge, and if you don't respect him you're getting a yellow. The guy was an arse just ignoring the ref. He got what he deserved.

If all refs reffed this way, then the game would have a lot less ATM shithouse style tactics and players would show respect to the refs.

We all whinge about their cheating - well they got punished for it.

UEFA confirmed that Felipe was sent off for violent conduct.

"Violent conduct is when a player uses or attempts to use excessive force or brutality against an opponent when not challenging for the ball....."

Agree !

Then the ref was wrong. It wasn't a red.

Dissent however, I could understand

I was at the ground, haven't seen it on TV, but the ref got the red out of his pocket immediately. No time for dissent. I thought it was very harsh.

I thought it was to strong. A bollocking deffo but he did us a favour. Just a kick about in the second half.

Thought The Ox did well but he's got to keep it up. More focused, more determination to show he deserves to compete seriously for a place.

He had both. Called him back 3 times. Before sending him off.

I think it was more a case of, 'will book him for a cynical foul.. come here... come here.. come here... well if you're going to be a cunt, so am I.. will upgrade that cynical foul to violent conduct as it was from behind'.

He was hellbent on showing who was boss, and Madrid were hellbent on trying to show the ref who was boss. Something had to give, or you have the 'ref has lost control of the game'.

Was the red harsh on it's on merit? For me yes. But it was two yellows on it's own right for me.
