Relax sir -- He's signed a potentially world class midfielder in Allen, helped advance some of the stars of our academy and instituted a system that may (or may not) succeed in achieving our goals as a club. That's 'something' already ... It does seem as if you DO care how he does things (you'd rather he not talk etc) - sorry for misinterpreting.
He's played the kids mainly because circumstances dictated it. There were plenty of other promising kids he could have played last night instead of the likes of Cole, but instead he was happy to play him and then scapegoat him after the finish. For all his cuddles and claptrap he is clearly too insecure to shoulder responsibility when things don't go according to plan, and the players will get the knife in the back as a consequence. But on and on the hype continues. They'll be erecting a statue soon in honour of his substituions in the derby game he didn't win.
I'm writing names down now and putting them in envelopes.

Can I be in the pink one please?
You may be. You may not be. I know. *walks away looking very pleased with myself*
Wow.
Excellent.
Macca, your rebuttal?
At the moment, we're trying to put lipstick on a pig. If Tito Vilanova went to Stoke, and tried to get them playing tika taka, with their players, it would fall flat on its face.
I like what Rodgers is trying to do, but it is a completely different way of training and playing for all bar one of our players, so we don't currently have the players to achieve it. It will take time.
I'm not sure where everyone was expecting us to be at this stage, with a new manager, a new way of playing football, and a terrible squad? I think we're about level for the par.
I'd love us to be about the top 4, but it's going to take time for that to happen.
I'm happy, I wasn't expecting blindly that we'd do amazing this season.
Next season, at this stage, behind 3 transfers windows, and about 18months in charge, I'd expect a lot lot better.
You not going to battle rap with Woland?
You're being a bit ridiculous here Ross, and yours and Ryan's 'told yer so' shite is wearing thin.
No one is 'happy' where we are. Personally I was realistic at the beginning of the season and said this is going to have to be a transition, bedding in young players and giving them the experience to push on, with a few additions. We were never going to make it in all competitions because we don't have the squad to, and the 'team' isn't good enough for the top four. That's the reality. No one is 'accepting' anything, people have just adopted a different perspective and a bigger level of patience given the shit we've been through for a few seasons pre-Rodgers.
I don't know what you're trying to gain from this. You adopt your own take on it and you and Ryan sit there like you're the only posters on here who knew we were on the wain. As Ryan said in his post, "no striker will solve this shit" - well actually, a striker would go a long way to curing some of our issues on the pitch. Whatevers going on off it is a seperate issue and it's not reflecting in the performances. The quality of what we've got is being proven in the performances. We're going to have to be patient, it's not defeatist, it's not accepting mediocrity, it's reviewing everything and having the head to be able to acknowledge that it's gonna be a long road to recovery.
We all knew that. Difference is though, we're not sat here with a smug grin scoring points over it.
