This is good news, sadly.

He's not had anywhere near the impact I would've hoped and there's no reason for him to linger on another Season. I don't know where the Poulsen of old has gone but he's certainly not the one we've got our hands on.

*faints*

His International career should be over because he's fucking shit.

You know the Dane's bad when even KHL won't defend him! ;D
In all seriousness, I hope this shout from Moten Olsen is enough to see him jettisoned out the door. We've got no hope of getting anything sizeable back for him though. Typical Liverpool transfer dealing.

Liverpool midfielder Christian Poulsen has been left out of the Denmark squad for an upcoming European Championship qualifier against Norway because of a lack of playing time recently.

Norway coach Morten Olsen says Poulsen "has a problem, he hasn't played football for quite some time.''

However, Liverpool teammate Daniel Agger will captain the team for the Sept. 6 game, which includes goalies Anders Lindegaard and Thomas Sorensen, newcomer Nicolai Boilesen, defender Simon Kjaer, midfielder William Kvist Jorgensen and forward Dennis Rommedahl.

Portugal leads Group H, followed by Denmark, Norway, Cyprus and Iceland.

Linked with a season-long loan to Espanyol in Sunday's tabloids.

Liverpool misfit Christian Poulson is wanted on loan by Spanish side Espanyol.

Poulson was dropped from the Danish squad earlier this week because of a lack of match action at Anfield. And Espanyol are ready to give him a chance to get some games by solving their problem position at the heart of their midfield.

Poulson was signed up by Roy Hodgson from Juventus a year ago but has spent most of his time on the sidelines.

Kenny Dalglish has made it clear the midfielder has no part in his plans and the Reds would be happy to get his wages off their books before the transfer window closes.

Poulson, 31, has a good reputation in Spain having helped Seville win the Uefa Cup in 2007.

We should just let hm leave on a free
[/quote]

Yeah, we should tell clubs that he's available on a free so that they can offer him a higher wage. Anything to get him out of the club. However, we managed to shift much of the deadwood out so I am confident that Kenny and Damian can shift him too.

Degen on the other hand...

I imagine we probably would if someone wanted him and was willing to pay his wages.

Skysports.com understands ambitious Ligue 1 new boys Evian are lining up a move to sign Liverpool's out-of-favour midfielder Christian Poulsen.

The Denmark international joined the Reds on a three-year contract from Juventus 12 months ago and was signed by Roy Hodgson.

However, he has struggled to make an impact under Hodgson's successor Kenny Dalglish and has not been involved so far this season.

A return to former club FC Copenhagen was ruled out earlier in the summer, while Poulsen was also linked with a loan move to Espanyol.

Ahead of Wednesday's transfer deadline, the 31-year-old has now emerged as a target for Evian, who are looking to make a splash in the French top flight this season.

Evian have collected five points from their opening four games
, and have signed the likes of Cedric Mongongou and Sidney Govou already this summer.

This is refreshing

Surprised that they want to pay us money for him. The scouting must be based on old youtube clips.

I missed that. Are they paying money for him?

Be good if they are. I expected him to be loaned out at best!

I'll only believe this when I see him in the ... erm whatever colour of Evian.
Never understood how he became a Liverpool player.

It's probably a watercolour. *gets coat....... and hat*

im surprised Vovlic havnt put in a bid for him instead, he seems to fit in with their playing style of passes which filter through the opposition over millions of years

they probably realise signing an average player in his thirties would be very naive and a backwards step
