Unless Johnson is playing RW, you can add him to the list.

but why should he play right wing? a serious question?
1. has he done anything to prove he could be decent there?
2. does he deserve to?
Sure, I know we have fuck all options, but I just can't accept it at the moment.

b/c it's the only position he can actually do something positive for our club without fucking us over ... if it's not this position, he's finished. Kelly is a better RB, full stop.
Johnson is shite at defending, but doesn't mean he's not a good player.
The problem is, since we can't actually attack well, he's being asked to defend more often than he should.
Look at Clichy.. is he a good defender? Assou Ekotto? Rafael? Alves? Was Roberto Carlos really that good at defending? Put them in this Liverpool side and i'm sure they'd look shite too.
Ultimately, we bought GlenJo for his abilities going forward. He did well at first, funnily enough when we were controlling games and had a competent centre midfield of Alonso and Mascherano.
But now we're not controlling games, his defensive frailties are being well and truly exposed.
In a good attacking team, he's a good player. There are about 10 players in our squad i'd sell before him.

Kuyt is on that list, he's been horrendous for 2 years almost.

the duracell bunny who keeps working hard who has the worst first touch is slow as hell the slowest right winger in the entire premworld .

Reina, Gerrard, Babel?
[/quote]Oh i forgot Saint Ryan.
Ok 4. Youve gotta keep Torres right? Just give him a team that can actually play well and help him do his ting.

Okay, with the return of the hairband he can stay.
I believe players like Skrtel (Evans), Kuyt (Park Ji Sung) and even Lucas (Gibson) have a place in a revamped Liverpool squad. They are good enough 3rd/4th choice players (the Manc players in brackets, are in my mind their equivalents).
Whilst the Mancs use the likes of Evans, Park and Gibson sparingly, the problem for us is, our lot are getting paid the wages of first choice players and we are relying on them as first choice players.
Like Rosco said before, our wage bill vs the of our quality of players is very poor. For sure, it must be the worst value for money in the league.
Anyone with at least one partially sighted eye knows that we are in desperate need of wide players in this or any other window, but still there's no excuse for either of these two to be playing in the wide positions.
Can anyone honestly say that any of the young reserves (Suso, Ince, Amoo, Bruna etc) would have done any worse tonight?
It's not like anyone hasn't already witnessed hundreds of hours of watching Kuyt slowly (and I mean slowly) fuck up 99% of our play down the right with a shit pass, shuffle inside or 10 yard attempted ball control. And Jovanovic looks like he's being controlled by someone playing Fifa2011 for the first time.
At least play a skilful kid on one of the flanks until we buy better, please Kenny.

Ha...this made me laugh...
Thanks.

+1. Made me chuckle. Very apt. Like I said after his first game, he's a brutal footballer who lacks any sort of finesse.
I mentioned the same 3 players as well as Skrtl in a a new thread I started but in all honesty there are more players in our squad that need to be fucked off rather than kept.
Our entire squad needs overhauling.
We need a new direction cos we right now, we truly heading towards relegation.
We've just played our 21st league game and have a 25 points and a -4 goal difference and the scary part is that I'm not confident of us beating anybody anymore.
I thought that Poulsen had his best game so far for us, but that wouldn't be difficult. Lucas played OK but Ming was gash. And so was Jova. What a midfield.

Perhaps Johnson wouldn't work out on the right, then we'd need two wingers
Meireles and Kuyt and one or two others can stay as squad players
