Liverpool's tactical evolutions:

Give it Fowler
Give it to Owen
Give it to Gerrard
Give it to Torres
Give it to Suarez
And now...
Give it to Sturridge

How many times did we just try and hit it for him to run for.

Not impressed with Aspas so far. Shame Coutinho went off - Williams is a cunt for that trick. But, Suarez can't come back soon enough.

Dreadful second half again.

Hoping sakho of shit can improve after that horror show.

On plus side last season we would have lost under similar pressure.

Can't believe how shit we were in the second half. Would have been incredible had we nicked a win right at the end.
We were lucky to draw.
We're due a good 90 minute performance soon though.

We're toothless without Coutinho and Suarez it seems. Sturridge needs the service. Hope Coutinho's going to be okay.

Decent results, but that's 4 games in a row where we have offered nothing in the second half.

Happy with a draw in the end. Make shift defence, 2 debutants and a Coutinho injury.
Nearly got hit by the manager of the month curse and credit to Swansea who were good.

Top of the league and unbeaten. Now for 3 points against Southampton.

I was a bit taken aback at how pumped up Swansea were, led by that psychotic twat Williams. They really rattled us like an old style Wimbledon - not playing style, obviously, but they were pretty cynical in other ways. Gerrard was the big disappointment for me - if he's playing deeper and not leading by example, then he's at least got to LEAD. Instead he seemed to go into his shell. He's captain, we really needed a captain in that second half.

Rodgers is clearly telling them to sit back 2nd half which is very annoying but that said, we've still not been beaten.

just shows how important coutiniho is to us, without him sturridge just gets no service, i dont like how we resorted to just hoofing it when we where under the cosh, we need to play our way to to try and get a win, still, sakho looked good, i think moses will be a decent option but tbh id rather have sterling and ibe ahead of him, aspas is just borini mark 2

Skrtel and Mignolet were great throughout, our midfield is piss poor still without the ball, Gerrard was guilty of ball watching too much and without a real dominant presence in there with the added pressure of a lightweight focal point, we look there for the taking. Get Henderson back in the middle and keep Wisdom away from the right back spot.

As for Sakho, a bit of a baptism of fire, but he's short on match fitness and there were some promising aspects. He needs time, Aspas needs a kick up the arse.

I know this may come across as knee-jerk, but I'm not really sure what sort of player Gerrard is evolving into. I'm not questioning his quality, but he seems to be stuck in a kind of no-mans land in terms of position - not a holding midfielder, not a box to box player, not a playmaker, not someone who can pull the strings by passing the ball about. I'm not really sure what sort of role in the team he's supposed to be carrying out.

I wonder why Rodgers is asking us to sit back every 2nd half though. Is he going to spring a surprise on the next team we play and go guns blazing in the 2nd half?

Suarez & a fit Moses makes us less reliant on Coutinho (a good thing) - but a healthy Coutinho & the rest of 'em will be a phenomenal site to watch.

I don't think he is. I think we're inviting pressure as a team. And quite frankly, I don't think we've looked as any team we've faced thus far.

Moses and Sakho will be quality once they get some match fitness.

Can't wait for Suarez to return.

Unlucky ... Yes, our goals were their creations but a goal from Sturridge on that header and the game is over ... Mingloet motm - nothing too difficult imo, but he's becoming mroe and more commanding in the box.
He's a great shot stopper but one thing that seriously pissed me off today:

He keeps doing these clever looking passes three quarters of the way in our own half, only for it to then be apparent that they're the most stupid risky passes he could make, considering the recipient often has an opponent right by him. The amount of times we lost possession in our own half because of that was ridiculous. If you're unsure Mignolet, and we all know you're not great with the ball, fucking boot it into the other half. Way better to lose possession there than to lose it in our own half when half our team's gone into the opponent's half.

CAN'T WAIT to have Agger back.

Sakho was clearly not match fit and there was obvs a reason for him not even being in the squad.
Looked a yard of pace which is understandable and made some errors because of it.

But, very comfortable on the ball, some great tackles and a beast in the air.
He'll be a great player for us when he settles.

Yet that doesnt stop the moaning twat brigade for having a go. You'd think Pellegrino was playing based on some of the posts. Ridiculous.

Then it's more worrying if he's not. Surely he has to do something about it if he sees us under the cosh.

Can't agree with that. Moses was class on the ball, seems to have more tactical nouse and has less of a tendency to give the ball away ... something Sterling manages to do 50% of the time.

I think he tried to, but SG and Lucas were retreating onto the back 4 who were retreating from them. We just got progressively deeper as we have done every game thus far. I love him, but I don't think SG should be playing 90 minutes.
