What's the possibility of Man Utd getting 40m from Chelsea and spending it on Fellaini and Baines?

Dunno much about Coleman really but I saw Barkley come on for the u21s last week and then again against Norwich and he looks quite a player to me. Real old fashioned all action midfielder.
What do people think about him? Maybe not made as quick progress as expected but that's common enough. Could see him at any of the big 3 PL clubs in the next year or 2, personally.

You've been saying that for a few years now(at least I think it was you), he did use to be quite poor, but he's got a lot better recently. Maybe not as good as Johnson ever was, but probably too good for Everton in a season or two.
I dont know if Baines would do it but I'm guessing Fellaini could kick off on them not accepting the bid.
Utd will probably be back in for them with a higher bid and I can at least see Fellaini moving there.
Fellaini has 3 years left on his contract and should be valued at around 20-22 mill in the current market imho. Baines has 2 years left and should be worh around 15 mill. 35-37 mill for both of them would probably be accepted if they kick off and wants to leave.
Everton arent in a position financially to keep them unhappy and lose them next year for a lower fee.

Reasonable IMO. I reckon Rooney's ticket out of there has been booked since they appointed Moyes - can't see him and Moyes ever working together long-term again. Everton won't want to sell but £40 mill.would be an offer they can't refuse.

Nonetheless, I don't see why Baines is that good an idea either. He's a better defender than you're making out, but for 15M odd and at that age I don't think he's that much of an improvement on Evra. Plus, that Buttner kid looks promising.

Sorry, that "it" was meant to be a "not" - meaning they don't have to sell and could ask for a bigger few if they felt so inclined.
United will be a lot more pragmatic under Moyes, so I'd not be surprised to see their style of play change a bit over the season.
Yeah it was me, I watch Everton most weeks due to all my mates being Blues. And he's fucking garbage.
Lee doesn't like him mate, he has a stormer once every blue moon but mostly he is gash.
Fair enough I obviously don't watch them every week but he's seemed excellent time I've seen them in the last 12 month, he must just step up in those games 🙂
