Video does my head in. 5 goals - 4 of which came against Chievo, Udinese and Napoli 0 - where he's got half a fucking hour to steady himself, juggle the fucking thing, and whack it goalward from 25 yards out. Does no one actually want to try and prevent that from happening?

He's fucking quality by the way, and I think he'll be a superstar for those cunts, but if you let anyone tee themselves up like that then they'll be able to score.

I guess there is some truth in that, did notice that he had a lot of time to turn and shoot in some of these and it will be different for him in England no doubt.

Having said that, it's the same for everyone else in Italy but he is still the only one drawing advantage of the space given in midfield on a regular basis blasting them in the net like that. Another reason for this is that he is very good at finding the space between defense and midfield when bursting forward.

United will be serious contenders for the title if they sign him. Keeping hold of De Gea is massive and they've added some quality throughout their first eleven and their manager and main striker both shit league titles.

I hope it all goes horribly wrong but from where I'm looking they have had a brilliant summer.
Yeah, I was hoping that De Gea would be off to Madrid this summer.

He always reminds me of Balotelli.

I hope this pans out similar.

He seems to have a genuine desire to improve himself, a winning mentality and a ferocious work ethic that is driven by his ambition to be one of the best players in the world.

I'm not sure what similarities with Balotelli you see, apart from stupid haircuts and a penchant for supercars and yachts.

I've not seen much of this unless you're on about training. He's been fairly anonymous in 50% of the games I've seen him in, and he did nothing in the euros either. That description makes him sound like Suarez on speed.

They got Veron for an insane fee and topped it off With De Maria for an even more insane fee. That kind of supersignings has not allways worked off for them in the past, and I hope the history repeats itself.

I think he may have meant in looks.

Ferguson's still on the board, though I don't know how much player contact he might have these days. With a bit of luck that could still lead to trouble.

They are all gone though, right? And who could blame him, Ferguson was not a very nice fella.

You can't blame younger players for quotes like these, or wait, you can but it's not completely fair is it?

Yeah, that won't really hold up should a defamation claim be brought by Scholes.

Obviously Baconface is a total cunt, but I find it quite hard to believe that he made a prank call to a former player, "laughed down the phone for 25 minutes" (why didn't Pogba hang up?) and then asked Paul Scholes to join in and start calling him names and abusing him.

Ha ha.. it does seem a little bit too fantastic, yeah..

He's obviously made them stronger because their central midfield has been piss poor for quite some time now; Schneiderlin is a good player, and Carrick is too but they're never going to impose themselves on good opposition. Schweinsteiger is crocked and now out of favour, Herrera blows hot and cold and I can't think of anyone else they have. So Pogba is an upgrade, but there are legitimate questions about how he fits in to a side which by the nature of how Mourinho plays is quite disciplined, whereas Pogba himself isn't.

Pogba hasn't been effective in a midfield two - he used to play for Juventus in a three, with licence to do what the fuck he wanted, which was charge about the place. Fine if you have the anchoring support but who is going to provide that to any great degree at Man Utd? At Chelsea Matic could support Fabregas pushing forward in the midfield 2, because his positioning was great and he's a very good defensive midfielder. Man Utd don't have that same level of protection.

He also has never played as a number 10. I suppose that's the likeliest position in a 4-2-3-1 that would get the best out of him, in the same way it got arguably the best out of Gerrard, but Gerrard had a mobile striker to dovetail with, and Pogba will have the relatively static Ibrahimovic. It could work if Ibrahimovic continues his trend of dropping off and allowing Pogba to make runs past him, but that's not really Pogba's game, he tends to charge about the midfield.

I agree with your assessment to a point, but it fails to take into account Henrikh Mkhitaryan. Now I've not watched any of their games in preseason (why would I?), but I would have thought that Henrikh would take the number 10 position leaving Pogba to play a similar role to the one he played for France at the Euros. Granted, he may get some game time at No.10 but I'd expect Pogba to play a more withdrawn role the majority of this season.

I could also be utterly and totally wrong!
