Twice in recent years we've chased pretty damn fucking hard for the "quadruple" and twice after it fucking cost us big time the following season.
Would I prefer to be in the FA cup rather than the league cup? Well.. yeah... Do I give a fuck about either of em IF the football Gods are kind and we win the league or CL? NOPE...

Winning the quad is fucking mental hard, and out of ALLLL the teams we are really the only team who've ever come close to actually doing it...

I like Elliot and I hope he can do good shit for us in the long run... that however was a full of spasmodic episode

Opportunities for trebles were considered big until just the last few seasons. There's only been six of those in English history, counting our 2000-01 tally that didn't include the league.

Once you start tossing in smaller trophies like the Super Cup, Community Shield, Intercontinental Cup, there's still only 7 trebles -- and just 4 "quads", none of which included all 4 of the two main domestic cups, a European trophy plus the league.

I think City starting to boss the domestic cups really started the conversation around potential quads but they've never really come all that close. (Apparently some passing discussion of the possibility surrounded the 2008-09 United side as well. Chelsea a couple years prior had a decent run at it too.)

Our 5 trophy hauls in 2001 and 2022 are the most by any English club in a single season.
