So of the three that really matter in the PL :

Liverpool vs West Ham : should beat West Ham comfortably and I'll go 2-0 or 3-0.

Palace vs Spurs : derby match and Palace at home so the crowd could be up for it. However Spurs are THE team in form and a Palace side with 12 players in the physio room shouldn't slow them down. I'll go 0-2 here.

United vs Chelsea : what a tough game to call. I thought Chelsea (who will be missing Luiz, Bakayoko and Barkley) played very well against Barca and United (Herrera will be missing but Jones and Roko expected to return) poorly against Sevilla, but CFC are now away from home and United have won all but 2 (draws) at OT. Conte vs. Mourinho means both managers will have their teams up for it and it really could go either way.

As the most interesting match here's the likely Chelsea line-up from Goal, it's a strong team :

Some stats:
  • Manchester United have won just one of their last 14 matches in all competitions against Chelsea (D5 L8) – winning this exact fixture last season in the Premier League (2-0).

  • Manchester United have lost more Premier League games (18) and conceded more Premier League goals (67) against Chelsea than they have against any other side in the competition.

  • Antonio Conte has won three of his four meetings in all competitions as Chelsea manager against Jose Mourinho (W3 L1) - twice in the Premier League and once in the FA Cup.
I'm going for a draw here, neither will want to lose this one with the PL as tight as it is so I don't expect to see either, conservative manager, gambling.

N.B. Expect City to blow away Arsenal on Sunday, 3-0 or 4-1

What result do people want at mancs v Chelsea?
I always want Utd to get beat, I can't help it.

But tbh a Chelsea win could do Conte a huge favour & get them playing well again.

Also they're both obv our rivals for top four so one point less on the board could help, so ideally a really shitty scrappy draw with red cards, loads of injuries & a fight between Mourinho & Conte on the touchline, so neither of them get any confidence at all.

If I was putting money on the game I'd have to go with Utd though, sadly.

A United win could give us a four point gap on Chelsea. We need a gap to start opening up at some point.

Shakiqri with a really nice goal, Schmeichel should probably have done better though.

Stoke 1 nil up a minute before half time.

Everytime I watch Leicester I get angry that we haven't tried to get Mahrez. He'd be perfect in our side, arguably a better fit than Coutinho was as he could fill in for Salah & Mane easily & do a job when Firmino was out too.
They were asking stupid money for him though - hence why City backed off.

I know, but getting in there may well have paid dividends with the player himself & got him thinking about his potential in our side.

That city side is ace, but they haven't taken players like salah & Mane & turned them into world beaters like we have.

The price they push for won't change whether we let it be known we wanted or not, it's up to the player to force them into a move & us to get the price right.

Theyve taken Sane and DeBruyne and turned them into world beaters though

Sean Dyche. Not so great anymore eh?

Really? He took the team up and went down with them. Took them back up and after a tough season last year they had a fantastic travel this season. He has performed ten times Mourinho and five times other managers based on assumptions and resources.... I like that but never considered him "great". I don't think he considered himself great either.

I thought his team was often lucky in that period where they were flying. I guess things even out themselves in the end.

Nothing against the man, he has done a good job no doubt but the way some were mentioning his "achievements" at every opportunity you would have thought he's the second coming.

Nah. He just did a good job with poor cards dealt in the first place. Plenty teams coming up and look lost. Even Wagner has had a good touch with Huddersfield, but they have looked out of their depth more often than Burnley.
