I can't believe some people think Ivanovic has had a better season than Coleman.

There are few worse defenders with the ball at their feet than Ivanovic. Ferguson used to sit up his Utd sides so he was the one always left free to receive the ball cos they didn't give one fuck about what happened when he was left with it at his feet.

I think Ivanovic is a good player, but Coleman has had a proper breakthrough season and there shouldn't really be any question of him making the side.

Koscielny and Mertesacker were quite decent bar the last 8 games or so.
A team of the year without a united or arsenal player would be very refreshing though.
Can't have ever happened before.

I'd say he's a better defender than Coleman but I haven't watched enough Everton games this season

Player of the year - Suarez
Young Player of the year - Sterling

My team of the year below:

GK: Boruc (if we can overlook the Stoke goal)

RB: Coleman
CB: Kompany
CB: Cahill
LB: Shaw

Mid: Hazard
Mid: Yaya Toure
Mid: Lallana
Mid: Ramsey

FW: Suarez
FW: Sturridge

If Januzaj even get mentioned in the YP category it would be a joke.

De Gea (much better keeper than I first thought)
Coleman
Terry (Would have been Koscielny up until the last 6 or 7 games)
Kompany
Shaw
Lallana
Hazard
Yaya Toure
Henderson (just edges out SG)
Sturridge
Suarez

Joey Bartons vote.

Surely Brad Jones should be best reserve keeper.

Always ready on the bench that lad

How has Kompany done all season? On name alone he should be in there as he's the best CB in the league but i'm trying to recall if he was ever present in that city side? Was he injured for a long period?

One from Terry and Cahill to play alongside Kompany.

De Gea
Coleman
Kompany
Cahill (Terry will prob miss out)
Shaw (I can't think of anyone else TBH)

Lallanna
Yaya
Gerrard
Hazard

Suarez
Sturridge

De Gea
Coleman
Fonte
Terry
Shaw

Fernandinho
Yaya
Gerrard
Hazard

Suarez
Sturridge

It amazes me that Fernandinho doesn't get praised more. Without him Yaya would never have had the season he has. Fonte is in for me because of all the fantasy football points he's got for me. Love that little Portuguese bastard!

Can't disagree with any of the choices mentioned to be fair. Other than had Ramsey stayed fit he'd get in there ahead of Gerrard and Silva beside yaya, lallana and hazard.

Almost everyone has Lallana in their list. I haven't seen enough of him to decide, but I suppose he must've been really special to garner so many votes. Personally, I'd have Henderson in there, but of course, that's because I watch all our games and not the others'. In fact, if I were to pick our top three most valuable players, he'll gambol in ahead of Sturridge.

Azpilicueta has also had a decent season for Chelsea keeping Cole out the side.

Agree about Fernandinho as well. He's been a very good buy for City. Have to say Matic looks like he good be great for Chelsea too.
