pennant has a moan

Nice one Pennat, not like he's doing anything noteworthy in Spain. If he was in a top 4 side and playing regularly then fair enough but to say it after 5 games and coming off the last game from the bench really doesn't hold much credit. Truth is, Pennant is not worth the investment of time. He served a purpose in 2006 as part of transitiion but if Rafa can't spend same amount of time he may spend on Torres as he does on Pennant. In any case, rather he spends his time with someone like Torroes than Pennant.

I can't think of one person who was disappointed to lose him, even on a free.

I think that says more, Vlad. The only stigma attached to him, IMO, was he was never going to be good enough.

In his defence he should've played more when Dirk was sincerely out of form, I will say that.

he's just another that got a raw deal

Who are the others that have got raw deals in your opinion Vlad?

Fair question, but I can't be arsed Rafa. I think two or three are easy to work out, but anyone who has a hole in their arse would realise that Pennant might be more than a little bitter and more than a bit thick, but there is more than just an element of truth in what he says.

Fair enough Vlad (It was a genuine question)

I can only really think of maybe Crouch over the last 5 seasons? If this is the case then thats not too shabby is it?

he tried it with finnan and succeeded with the gems and bellamy. i also think he tried it with alonso 2 yrs ago and is possibly doing the same with masch this season.

he persevered with lucas and kuyt who are clearly his favourites regardless of form or indeed ability

now i can't stand pennant, imo he was never good enough but he hardly got a genuine chance after his injury.

rafa wants players who do exactly what he wants them to do and sometimes their temperament and indeed natural strengths make it difficult for them to do this.

crouch for me really took the piss, it was one thing torres keeping the lad out of the team but then a limp kuyt became our striker instead of crouch. i think that was the last straw for the lad.

of course all of this is alright if you're winning trophies which we're not!
