Salah scored the winning penalty when Egypt qualified for the WC, so he can handle the pressure. But if it comes down it, and he steps up - you just know he’ll miss after having that insane season.
It would be typical.
 
Whatever happens it wont be expected. In 2005 who would have put money on Riisse trying to side foot his pen?????

If we go to penalties, you'll probably find me dead, from the heart attack I just had. So I'm not going to bother giving my 5.
 
If it is a Death boring 0-0 going to penalty I wouldn't give a shit as those doesn't really Count. However if it was a sexy 3-3 going to penalty it is definately one for the books!

Bobby not a "flair" player?? He's going to try to no-look it in all probability.

I would trust Robbo to put away one. Also it might be good to alternate right and left foot players. Salah and Robbo with left, rest with right.

I haven't got him in my list but he is a great free kick taker so it makes some sense

Yes but he also does enough serious stuff to make me think he wouldn't sky it!
 
I completely agree with people saying Salah and Mane are likely to cock up. I also think this of Bobby. The non flair, steady-Eddies are the way.

And anyone saying the younger players might be shitting themselves--- EVERYONE will be shitting it. Other than Virgil.


Milner- will stick it in the right corner. Keeper goes the right way but always going in. Early goal.
Robbo- left footer; cracking strike on him; bangs it high up the middle keeper has sprung to his left.
Gini- does the keeper with his eyes in the run up and sends him the wrong way. Cheering from the rafters now.
Hendo- was always taking one. He's a leader. He's responsible. He looks really fucking nervy though. AHHH, comes off the left post. Modo is doing cartwheels.
Virgil- looks as cool on the way to the penalty spot as if he's on a stroll along a deserted beach. Top corner. Power and precision.

They miss 2 and we've won Big Ears.
 
As much as I like Henderson I couldn't put him in the first 5, I know he's a leader and all that but goalscoring just isn't natural for him. Questions marks over Trent too due to nerves at his age but he knows how to hit a ball.

Nah, I've had a rethink. Based on the fact that I already know Hendo is missing and I only strongly suspect Salah will miss I am bringing Mo in.
