Penalty shoot-out

For me, Milner should be the first taker. Last one probably Salah or Bobby. Wouldn't trust Mane, Hendo or Gini, obviously not Lovren. Everyone else is OK; I would trust Trent to take one even though he will be be the youngest player on the pitch.

In order of preference:
  1. Milner
  2. Salah
  3. Firmino
  4. Van Dijk
  5. Trent
  6. Robbo
  7. Hendo
  8. Gini
  9. Mane
  10. Lovren
  11. Karius

Milner has to take his early in the shootout - put pressure on their takers. Trent is 19 years old so no matter how mature he is the pressure of a CL final will get to him and likely Robbo.

In order :
  • Milner
  • Salah
  • Firmino
  • Van Dijk
  • Hendo
  • Mane
  • Gini
  • Robbo
  • Lovren
  • Trent
  • Karius

You just fucking know we'd see Lovren stepping up.
...and fucking it up.

To be honest i can only think of Milner and then my mind goes blank. Going to penalties would be way to painful and worse than losing after extra time. Lets just fucking win the cunt in regulation playing time.

Agree with that order, although I got no idea what Van Dijk is like at penalties but he seems calm enough. If it comes down to that we're surely making some subs in 120 minutes too, which makes options even worse

I think it’s down to personality than ability. Every player should be able to hit the corners of the net when you play at that level.

I agree Milner should be first. Virgil seems to keep his cool so he’s on the list as is Firmino despite him missing the pen against Sevilla. Trent to take one being the local boy who can win it for us. Last pen goes to the Egyptian King.

Milner
Van Dijk
Firmino
Alexander-Arnold
Salah

I think Gini would be a better option then Hendo, Mane and Robbo in all honesty. The other 4 are quite safe and our best options. Its the 5th penalty that requires some thought.

Thinking about the potential subs, Klopp doing a Van Gaal and changing the keeper just before the penalties actually might not be that crazy. If there's one thing Mignolet has been good at it's penalties

True enough. It's the one area I think he's better than Karius. It's still quite nuts to bring a keeper on just for a penalty shoot out. Did it work for Van Gaal? Can't remember.

I'd have Hendo and Gini talking them.
Oddly Mo doesn't inspire me with confidence when talking penos.
Firmino, Virgil and Milner.

Gini takes a good penalty. As for Can the German who would never miss, in our last penalty shoot out, he missed (against Stoke). The cunt shouldn't be anywhere near the CL Final squad.

Bobby's missed two penaties for us (aside from Shootouts), recently too in September and then again in January.
