Paris Saint-Germain v Liverpool Match Thread CHAMPIONS LEAGUE

It seems that you have to be a massive ballgaging cunt to play for PSG. Neymar, Dani Alves and Silva. Fucking hell.

i sincerely hope that red star absolutely break this team - they're a bunch of smug fucking cunts ... dirty money as with City and PSG made them.

Alisson and Milner were very good.

Average by VVD, Gomez, Wijnaldum, Mane

Fucking shameful by Henderson, Firmino, Robertson, Salah, Lovren

I thought we were so much better in the second half than the first (not too difficult I suppose). Unfortunately not only did we fail to make anything but the the breaks, what there were, all seemed to fall for PSG. However we at least looked like we deserved to be there.

Verratti should have gone on three separate occasions. Helluva lucky cunt and knows it. PSG won'get away with this level of cuntishness in tbe knock outs.

Can't believe how much the attitude of the team and manager has changed from last seasons Champions League where we attacked every team we played no matter where it was and this season away from home it's been a defensive mindset and approach every time. Trying to be too clever.

Let's be honest, we've been pretty lackluster all season and you can't pin it on individual players, it's been a collective thing give or take a couple of players. Almost everyone bar Milner and VVD has been inconsistent.

Blame it on a good season hangover, a World Cup hangover, a change of coaches, or whatever. We haven't hit the heights. It's not all doom and gloom because we're doing well in the league and can still qualify in the CL, but the warning signs are there and the hiding that someone has been due all season, just doesn't seem to be realistically happening anytime soon.

I can forgive Mane, because I think he's looked our most dangerous forward and far more capable of making something happen, generally, but Firmino and Salah have been scarily reminiscent of Torres when his form completely plummeted. Keita has largely been a disappointment and we look even more disjointed when he plays or comes on, while Fabinho is a fucking mystery.

Not good enough, Klopp.

oh well ... if this was the football gods' way of giving us a 5-0 drubbing of Everton, and another Anfield special against Napoli, I'll take it ... but these cunts in Paris are PROPER cunts ... I don't remember Thiago Silva ever being like this ... Neymar is Neymar (fucking Shaq should just squeeze him between his thighs next time) ... Verratti is a nasty little cunt when he wants to be ... and well ... we didn't deserve it tonight. But they're still cunts.

We got what we deserved.

Everyone has figured out how to stop us at this point. There is no threat in the middle of the park, nobody capable of carrying the ball into the middle of the final third of the field and drawing defenders onto him. So Salah and Mane get defended heavily and teams make sure we can't get the ball out of defence quickly to make the most of them.

We needed Ox or even Shaq going through the middle - I thought Keita was going to be that player for us but I really have no idea what is going on with him.

Thanks smartarse. It's small time though isn't it? If it was effective then fair enough but it isn't. The only team to benefit from Gomez's long throw was England.

You're welcome, dick head. It's small time compared to what? It's perfectly intelligent to seek to maximise that aspect. But whine on as you struggle upstairs with your glass of milk and your teddy bear. Night night.

In our 3 away games in Europe I completly agree. But not the season as a whole.
That would be utter madness after taking a look at the league table.

It's small time because it's the sort of play the percentages tactic that inferior team use against us. That's why I mentioned Stoke as it was used by them under Pulis but how many quality teams adopted it as a regular option? It's the sort of thing you see in the lower leagues and Sunday football. PSG weren't fazed by it one bit.

PSG played really well for about 35 mins, took the piss out of our midfield and got the goals they needed. Mane threw us a lifeline winning that penlty but at no point did we look capable of capitalising on it.

You would have to say Klopp got this one totally wrong.

Firmino was awful tonight, not just in the context of this being a big game but in the sense that he contributed nothing, slowed us down and gave the ball away frequently, hes in a serious slump and he needs dropping. Henderson looked like his legs had gone, he was 2nd to everything and made a fool of the idea that he can operate as a defensive screen, he cant he isnt mobile or intelligent enough.
