Managing a team is not as easy as just getting a tactical expert in... Underrated by Klopp was his ability to put an arm around players and also his general positivity and charisma which rubbed off on everyone at the club. Pep is also smart in this area in that he's able to inspire the City players by making them believe they are the best.

Ragnarok doesn't look like he has been able to inspire this United team to believe in themselves...they seem about as confident as they were when they were with Ole

And Jose before him and van gaal etc
Long may it continue

Agreed. Though relative to slabhead's captaincy, Lovren's leadership is Steven Gerrard, Hyppia, and Souness rolled into one.
In years to come it will become really obvious just how important Lovren was to the team at the time. After all who else could perm Salah's leg hairs quite as beautifully as Lovren? They were just so sweet together.... Know what I mean? 😗

Looks like we were right to let him go

[article]Wolves boss Bruno Lage rapped Ki-Jana Hoever after defeat to Crystal Palace.

The fullback was forced off after 24 minutes due to injury.

"Ki is a good example of a talent without patience," said Lage afterwards.

"A talent that sits behind his competitor on the bench, does not train with full intensity, is not optimally prepared ... If you get a chance, these kinds of things happen.

“I have too many young players on my team who sometimes don't do the work they should. When they're training, they often think: 'oh, I'm not playing anyway' … I've had them from day one that I've been told here that they should always keep working hard. Your first goal is to develop yourself.

"I'm not going to waste my time on guys who don't work hard enough, they need to understand that… This warning is not just for Ki, but for all the youngsters we have on our team."

It's a general reminder to everyone in life really.

This is the entitled generation.

If you don't like something, join the great resignation movement. If you don't like your boss or someone at work, go woke and cancel them or demand a fat pay check.

Where are the Rudys and Rockys of today ??

I'm sure he has reason to be unhappy at Ki, but I'm not sure publicly blaming a young player for getting injured is the best way to manage a team. Imagine what he would have said to Thiago...

He probably wouldn’t have said anything about Thiago because Thiago’s a top pro (attitude). Looks like Hoever’s been a lazy cunt in training.
Still, I agree that it’s not something to do in public.

Using fucking movies as an example as to why this generation is shite, when 2 of the greatest (if not THE greatest) footballers to play the game are fucking millennials

As a proud millenial myself, I regret to inform you that we are no longer" this generation" but have passed into the dark morass known as "back in the day" along with the boomers.

I mean there were generations of footballers coughing lungs up on the pitch from smoking too much and passing coins during free Kicks for forfeits it doesn't stand up to history at all

Even Zoomers don't deserve this shite!

[article]Now here's more from former defender John O’Shea, who won five Premier League titles at Manchester United, and was asked about his thoughts on current United captain Harry Maguire: "He's a top international defender. He's having a bit of a tough spell but it's not just him.[/article]
Come on guys... give Maguire a break. He's a top international defender!

Noooo, there's is no bias in the English media towards English players and managers. That's just a myth.

The quote comes from John O'Shea who would not take kindly to being referred to as English.

Your point is valid, your example is not.

It might have something to do with the words "former defender...at Manchester United".

It's either that or the fond love that the Irish have for all things English.
