Didi Hamman is available. I'd have him back for a year. At leasy he'd keep possession if he played, and he'd be great to have around the place again.

We should sign him, he'd be a perfect 4th choice for us, and he could be used to benefit Lucas' and even to an extent Mascherano's development.

Sneijder's a snip at 15M Euros...

Inter are having a very good summer.

is Lescott worth anything near £30 mil? Moyes is one big optimist... 🙂

Premier League - City reach Lescott stalemate

Eurosport - Fri, 21 Aug 12:45:00 2009

Manchester City manager Mark Hughes has admitted his bid to bring Joleon Lescott to Eastlands has reached an impasse, but is yet to give up entirely on the Everton defender.

City have relentlessly pursued the 27-year-old in one of this summer's longest-running transfer sagas, despite Everton's insistence he would not be sold.

The Toffees have rejected two bids from City - of £15 million and £18m - for the England international, who had a formal transfer request rejected earlier this month.

But a deal may yet be struck, with Everton reportedly willing to consider sanctioning an exit if their £30m valuation of the player is met.

He'll go on deadline day for an "undisclosed fee" over 20m
24M fee agreed.

I hope Hughes and City gets some punishment for their transfer methods. Tapping up players and dealing with the players rather than the clubs.

It makes me sick that their money approach gets them players. Doubling or trippling wages, whats their wage bill now? 2 mill £ a week? Fucking cunts.

Almost wish Xabi had gone to Citeh; if the fuckers can pay 24 million for the Klingon, what more Xabi?

He's so not worth 24M. Spose that's the premium you pay for buying British though.

Where's he gonna play though? Dropping Dunne, Toure or Richards to accomodate him might be an improvement, but 24M's worth of one?

Centre back ahead of Dunn I'd guess.
Yeah that's probably the most likely.

I think they were trying to flog Dunne to Sunderland at some stage too. Strange, cos Dunne's a better defender than Toure.

Bridge - Lescott - Toure - Richards

Damn good.

Dunne hasn't been that great over the last couple seasons and harsh as it may be for their captain who was player of the season every season during the lean times, he's going to have to be replaced at some point, no?

He's not a top 4 defender, is he?

Captain and player of the season for about 3 years on the trot then tried to be replaced all summer for a bigger name. Not sure he's good enough to be a top four defender but he deserves to be playing first team football in a decent top 10 side. He should move on before the windown closes.

Personally i feel he's been a little hard dunne by.

*sniggers childishly*

Didn't he score a hattrick in pre-season once, subsequently never made our bench and finally got shipped back to Austria?
