Top-flight seasons in which two teams have won 8+ of their opening 10 games:

1892-93 [Sunderland & Preston]
1909-10 [Blackburn & Liverpool]
1987-88 [Liverpool & QPR]
2006-07 [Man Utd & Chelsea]
2018-19 [Man City & Liverpool]

Even if it isn't, their creditors are going to give them about twelve pence a year for transfers.

The official attendance last night was 57,000 but people were saying the entire top tier was closed and the rest was sparse so they didn't know how it was more than 40,000. This for the visit of the champions after their best ever start. The new stadium is very optimistic, even as a long term plan. I can't imagine what the terms of the credit are, but I can't see how they'll ever pay it down without a huge benefactor appearing.

Leeds 2 on the horizon.

HAHAHAHA. That's exactly what Leeds did, about five minutes before they went bust. The difference is Leeds were after 15 times less money. Manure managed it, but they turn over double the money of Spurs and needed half the money.

They'll be looking at 50m just to service the debt, another 60m a year if they want to actually own that stadium at any point.

Where are they going to find another 100 million a year? What happens when they don't qualify for the CL?

Running out of semen over here.

This explains Spurs transfer inactivity during the summer also they might just have to sell a few players.

I didn't realise we're hosting the egg chasers this weekend. I hope they don't leave our pitch in a similar state to Wembley's.
