Brentford slice City on the counter and go ahead in the 98th. Brilliant!

Makes up for that soft, late penalty last week for City.

I almost don't want them to lose, as it means nothing to us and I want everyone else as miserable as me

I'm really torn between disdain for City and enjoying sour grapes for them and being more comfortable with them winning due to financial doping than other sides creeping back into title contention.

Really at the point now when asked each week who I want to win in the other matches, I respond "the terrorists".

Don't think there is too much he could do about the second one. The game also maybe should have been stopped due to the head injury

He pushed that ball out into a dangerous area. Maybe I'm being harsh but Pickford is a wanker.

Can't disagree about the head injury.

Are they called LeedS (plural) because they cant hang onto one. Go ahead, pegged back, go ahead, pegged back. Learn to defend ffs.

That's got to be it for lampard surely? Not that I think it'll make any difference, or that he deserves it.

Spurs are the such a lucky gang of cunts. So shite but get 3 points. Hopefully they’ll implode after the WC

Gary O'Neil is doing a very good job for someone without experience - and picking up the team after it's 9-0 thrashing defeat.

Yep but looks like soon to be replaced by Biesla, a bit silly from Bournmouth considering the job stand in manager is doing.

Chelsea have spent almost 300m this summer and their midfield and strikers look pants on paper.

Funny that City result on MOTD, a disaster of their own making. They did not take Laporte off for a head injury, and as a result 7 mins added on, so Brenford get their 2nd goal in the 96th min !!!

Lucky break. They’re still shite.

yes, Fulham deserved at worst a draw.
THat being said, Arsenal have been 'lucky' many times this season, and are now 5 points ahead of City.
Spurs have been lucky far too many times, and still are holding onto 4th.
Man U ... won't even get into them and they're ahead of us now.
Our room for fuck ups, regardless of squad depth etc, when the season kicks off is so minimal ...

Not really, if the season keeps going the way it has for other clubs then all we have to do is put a few results together. Find any sort of form whatsoever and inexorably we will climb the table.

We just have to worry about ourselves, and finding that form, otherwise none of it matters.

Joao Palhinha and Bruno Guimaraes - two impressive midfield additions to the league this year.

Carrick making a good start at Middlesbrough too - 3 wins 1 draw 1 defeat (4 away games). He was unbeaten in his 3 games caretaker spell at Man Utd (wins against Villarreal and Arsenal, draw vs. Chelsea).

Parker, Lampard, Gerrard and him (or even O'Neil) - seems like midfielders have a higher tendency to step into management? 😛

He might be more into coaching than Gerrard (judging by the interviews about how Beale was mainly the one in charge of training)
