LOL, This will go down well:

Mourinho on Everton:
"We knew the club would move in that direction, very good players, players from Barcelona. So that is the level which Everton wants to reach. Their ambitions are very similar to OUR ambitions.” #MUFC #EFC

WOW.

Sadly he's still won two trophies for them since he's been there, while we have one league cup to show for the past 12 years. So as much as I'd love to gloat I'd rather we won some stuff AND they continue to go down the pan.

Yeah. But one of them is the EL. A trophy yes, but their ambitions are to not win the EL because that mean they are not in CL. The other is the League Cup which they have called mickey mouse cup from the 80's. Which mean that if they start celebrating that now it means they admit they are not too "big" to priority this cup. So fuck them and their special one!!

"We will try to compete with Everton"

"When you see the money they spent...it's not easy to find a creative solution to the game"

"They (Everton) just bought an entire new defence unit, I say again, they have fantastic scouts with the resource and desire to improve the team in this moment""

We need him to say it would be utopia to get a draw against the bitters and the story will be complete.

Is he afraid his attempt to get a big payoff for leaving is going wrong as their performances pick up, so trying a new way of dumping in his own nest?

Has to be something like that, surely, 'coz otherwise this is just off-the-scale weird.

And they were lucky to win both, in fact either, of those.

Yeah but you’re all being pricks here.

I’d love to win a fucking trophy. Europa league or EFL (league cup for me, fuck the modern name)

It’s a day out, and boss. When you are there. I won’t turn my nose up at anything me. Trophy is a fucking trophy.

Yep, don't get this disdain for trophies other than the league or european cup. Watching the team lift a trophy, any trophy, and then celebrating winning afterward is great.

That Everton managed such a comfortable win, of course, was hardly the ideal way for Hodgson to greet Liverpool’s new owners, Tom Werner and John W Henry of New England Sports Ventures, to life on Merseyside.
“To get a result here would have been Utopia,” said the Liverpool manager. “But I can only analyse the performance. There is no point trying to analyse dreams.”

Budgie was an inspiration wasn't he. I bet with Palace he's saying something like "you're shit lads, but if you try really, really hard you could be the 4th shittest and avoid the drop"; "it's up you now I've done all I can". They must take to the field barely able to contain themselves.

I don't think anyone's denying that, jexy. What some of us are saying is that, since those are the two trophies which matter most, winning the others - nice though that would be - is secondary if we want to be in a position to challenge for the Big Two consistently.

NFL at Wembley today in the pissing rain before Spurs vs City tomorrow. I’m hoping for a torn up pitch and Bluemoon to be livid. Hope it helps Spurs get something from that game.
