That's better than Roy Keane did.

I don’t think so. I mean, Ketil Knutsen has a Bodø Glimt team filled with kids on top of the Norwegian league these days without it qualifying him for any PL job.

If you want to compare Kean and Ole you must look at what Ole did at Cardiff. Took them down one level and was replaced with Warnock before he took them further down. Warnock!!
Ståle Solbakken has won 8 titles or so in Denmark as well as taken FCK to CL a few times. "Great" coach that lasted a few months in Köln and even shorter in Wolves. Still longer than Henning Berg lasted for Blackburn (30 days or So?). Of course the Main faults that things doesn't work out is with the club according to Norwegian press, but I cherish the moment for as long as Ole is at the wheel.

Oh shit I forgot that he managed Cardiff...

Having Roy Keane replace OGS as United Manager would be like every dream coming true all at once.

Except one... that trumps even Keane being Utd Manager.

I’m sure Roy Hodgson has it in him for one last crack at the big time with Man Utd.

In fairness, they do need someone who could sort out the defense and make sure players don’t get ideas beyond their station. Maybe he can even buy Konchesky and Poulsen again.

He's already halfway up Ferguson's arse, having him colocated will surely see him disappear up there completely.

Did you hear him after the recent OT match, talking (I think) about VAR - "This isn't the way of football people like Sir Alex & I love" . P.U.K.E

Dear me. An eight-year-old in the playground would be ashamed of throwing such a paddy.

Some, er adults, never get beyond eight years old in their mentality though. Witness the earlier video of an ageing United fan bursting into tears. I half expected a tantrum.

Would love to see some analysis on just how much Utd's finances are being harmed by the compensation payments to old managers (and then add in Alexis' wages on top). I think i saw that Moyes' contract period is now over but Jose wouldn't have been cheap, and I bet they aren't in a position to even consider sacking OGS any time soon.

dunno if this fits here

Yeah I forgot that. He joins other miracle coaches as Jan Jonson, Tor Ole Skullerud, Ronny Deila, Mons Ivar Mjelde and Kjetil Rekdal on the exlusive list amongg those who shit in Norway. They really outmanouvered Bjarne Berntsen, Tom Nordlie, Arne Erlandsen, Geir Bakke, Steinar Pedersen, Roy Hodgson and a long list of others to lift these trophies.

I had forgotten how embarrased I was when Hodgie referred to the success he had with Malmø and Halmstad when joining us...

And Orebro. Don't forget Orebro.

He'd be all the way if it wasn't for the difficulty of squeezing that big fucking watch he wears up Ferguson's tight Scottish hoop!!!

Ole is on same wages as Klopp. Insane.

But on the whole I don’t think cashflow and spendingmoney is their issue.... well aside from that they have pissed away silly money which they clearly could have done better investments with. Their big issue is that they will loose their status as an interesting brand for their partners to invest money in. As long as their results head down the drain their fanbase will loose interest/start to hate the club and they will not be able to keep up the cashflow if they dont turn this around. They are clearly not Real Madrid og Barcelona who lives on a constant global support... the united fanbase is probably less loyal and vulnerable.

I doubt it.
Man Utd is huge.

We've been shit for almost three decades and we're still massively popular. Utd can afford to be shit for a while.

First of all, we haven't been shit for 30 years. Teams that are shit doesn't play multiple CL finals. But we haven't been great either.

And I don't believe they will end up bonkers either. But I believe their value today is built on less loyal fans, which they treath more as a mass they can sell to partners than real supporters, than the last time they had a bad spell (80's). They had something more over them than just being huge and rich. Our success (keeping fans and not titles) is that our club has been an outsider With a great history. We are talking a little bit about "Stock Exchange and cathedral". People stay more loyal to their cathedral than their Stock Investment. Last time around they were a cathedral funded on the myths of Busby. Law, Charlton and Best. This time around they are trading their fans for good partnerships commercially. I think in todays climate it is harder to keep fans happy and it is harder to compete with other Entertainment.

Is there really a difference been a church and a stock exchange?

It really depends whether you are looking from the bottom or the top.

As flies to wanton boys so are we to the gods.

Rather they give it Hughesy or Brucey (once he inevitably gets sacked this year)

Still fuming we were robbed of the 3 points versus Spurs and makes me angry every time I see the bus attacking vermin scum top of the league!
These sort of quotes really fucking annoy me. VAR got it spot on. No one was robbed. It was a handball. Just because it wasn't noticed in real time, doesn't mean you should get away with it. VAR is there to spot the tight decisions that the officials might miss in real time. Like this one.

They'ver started a thread on Blue Moon called, "I really wish Liverpool hadn't won the title last year." Seems to be about a perceived media bias towards us, below is a post from the female City supporter we all secretly want to bang, Miss Karen7,

All the media and pundits say teams that play like dippers and city, well hello we don't play anything like the same, totally different ,no other team plays like a pep team, none,it's very specific style, the dippers have turned into a mostly long ball team, they lump it for salad and mane to run on to,play with 2/3 defensive mids ,most of the smaller teams can do that,it suits the media twats to lump us together, they don't understand a pep team and they are not interested in learning

Lol I noticed this too today, they are sooooo worried and jealous of us it's laughable. Can't wait till we play them to put one over them, in the league it's time. I feel that is the last hurdle for us.
That and wining every game this season haha

I can't understand how one of the major sports broadcasters hasn't snapped her up with that level of insight she has there.
