They are in a mix between disbelief and grief over the fact that Woodward has found zero people fit to fill the role as Technical Director and hence will continue to lead the transfers, which he has done so far. Keep it rolling!!

I don't think they're at as low an ebb as the (sadly brief) dark days of Moyes, but at least then they were reigning Champions.

Now? Three sacked managers later; fucking Ole in charge; Man City Champions again; Liverpool Champions of Europe again; and they're playing in the Europa League.

Again.

Like staring into the abyss really. Except much, much funnier.

They're very keen on Wan-Bissaka, who will probably cost £40m at least.

I don't think they are going to be looking just at huge names and stupid fees/ wages, because that is exactly wasn't hasn't worked for them recently. Plus they are hardly the most attractive team for any "star name" to join anyway.

Ole has been talking a lot about going back to "old school" United and bringing in "young, hungry" players and blah blah blah.

Luke Shaw fits that description actually.

There is a weird thread on Redcafe that is dedicated to TAA. It's funny reading it. I'll post the link so you can see for yourselves

http://www.redcafe.net/threads/trent-alexander-arnold.431614/

It was started awhile ago. I've been enjoying it immensely (my favourite bit is the response to the Barca goal). It's actually quite complementary for the most part (how could it not be?) - There are some proper whoppers on there though that refuse to see what is bleeding obvious. Apparently some guy called Kimmler (sp?) is way better because he has more assists and goals. It's 10 pages long! LOL!

Oh and fuck me do they lament the fact that it's Young and Shaw (he is fat apparently) occupying the positions of TAA and Robbo. Two of arguably the best in their positions in the world right now. Couple that with the fact we only paid 8Mill for Robbo and Trent was through the youth system. You have to laugh really. 😀
Kimmich. And he is something special. Probably a bit of a toss up between him and TAA TBH.

They will probably persuade the Glazers to finance a couple of biggish name signings this summer, who will flop.
I was going to say I'm not sure which big(gish) names would want to go there .. but then I remember the insane salaries they pay and that some touted players were very keen to trot off to China just for the big bucks, so I doubt it'd be that difficult for them to sign a couple of big names that are either still in the early stages of their careers or those that are just starting to wane.

Sorry dude. I only watch LFC. Loads of cricket and weirdly youtube clips of how to make the best cupcakes ever. I figure it's a life skill. Fuck what Utd do - they are a shower right now. Everyone knows it and it's hilarious.....😀

I think that was the original joke

Yeah I was expecting the meme to shortly follow. Can call this a suspended whoosh pending Brendan's confirmation.

They started a "Liverpool 2019/20" thread on Blue Moon Saturday, currently it is already up to 25 pages.

Saw this gem on page 5,

I doubt I'd get many people agreeing with me but in a way, I'm glad that we didn't beat spuds in the cl. If we'd have reached the final, I don't think we'd have beaten the dippers. We're the better team that plays better football with better players and a better manager. All those facts count for nothing though when other factors come into play.
The club that makes so much noise about justice don't seem to have the humility to acknowledge that they are the beneficiary of every form of injustice. I'd prefer to go out in the quarters or semis than be on the recieving end of a sham.

What the fuck does that even mean

It's that massive sense of entitlement the City fans suffer from again. If the world was fair, City's wonderful team would have won all the trophies. He's nettled that Liverpool have cheated them out of the Champions League.

Yep - you have to remember that they see this current City team as “the bestest team ever” and have re-invented football.

You’ll even find City fans marvelling at how they’ve become the biggest, most important club ever to be associated with football... and be completely debt free.

If we’d met City in the final and played like we did against Spurs- they’d have battered us.

Yeah but other factors come into play, according to some idiot.

I agree, but I don't think those factors are the uefa death cult thing.

Haha isn't it delightful that even after winning the PL we still seem to have ruined their season for them ? Schadenfreude at it's best.

Chelsea to let Sarri go to Juve and the rumours are they’ll hire Frank Lampard...
That will go down well at the plasticrentboys forums.

Considering the transfer ban means they'll presumably be forced to play a load of younger players over the season, who will respect Lampard, & have worked with him directly in the past, it's not the worst idea in the world.

Tactically in big games is where the issue will inevitably come, but if you can install a team alongside him with experience it could actually be a workable stopgap solution for a season or so.

Hopefully it'll go horribly wrong though.

Its very depressing until you read the last line of that post.

Yeah, Sarri has never really felt the love and Lampard is their total hero, so they will be delighted I'm sure.
