Talks of Rafa wanting him to replace Gayle.
Probably bull.

He hasn't developed the way we hoped and he won't get much playing time this season. Loan or sell, doesn't make much difference to me, but I can't see how he fits in Klopps system, which Firmino seems to be perfect in.

He needs to go on loan for a season, preferably in the EPL, then next summer we can make a decision. He has too much potential to part ways now, but he needs regular playing time to have any hope of making it. Loan, not sell.

Nah fuck letting a pl side have Him, you know the chump would turn up against us and bully the life out of lovren and co

From the Echo today:
Divock Origi and Ryan Kent could also leave on temporary deals.
Monaco, Marseille, Wolfsburg, Bayer Leverkusen, Werder Bremen, Newcastle and Tottenham are among those clubs keen on Origi, who didn’t even make the bench for Sunday’s 4-0 win over Arsenal.
Kent is wanted by a host of Championship clubs but if Klopp sanctions a loan then Germany is the most likely destination for him. Hannover 96 and SC Freiburg have registered their interest.

So there is no talk of a sale, as far as I can see. If he leaves, it will be on loan. Newcastle would be ideal IMO.

I'd like to keep Kent though, we can really use his qualities in games where Mane or Salah needs rest.

Loan to Newcastle is perfect, can't play against us and should get games every week.

Rafa is also very good at coaching strikers. Torres always raved about him.

Origi is going to do fuck all for us this season might as well try and get his development up elsewhere.

We'll hopefully either get a more compedant rounded and confident striker or we can flog him for a better fee.

11 clubs want him according to the journos. Find the best possible club for him to develop in a year long loan.

Newcastle would be a good choice.

Every time Newcastle sign a new striker, Alan Shearer smiles to himself, and strolls over to his desk. There in the top drawer lies a single sheet of paper. The quote.

He sends this to every media organisation with his usual fee attached.

'Newcastle fans worship a number 9. If you score goals they will love you up there'

I think a loan with guarantee of playtime would be beneficial for both parties. This is a player who once displaced Lukaku in the Belgian team (I forgot which tourney) so there's deffo potential. Can only see him benefiting from playtime and if we decide he fits Klopp's plans beyone next season, keep. If not we'll get a better price for him assuming he has some time left in his contract.

I am leaning towards a sale more than a loan-deal to be honest. To many reasons why I no longer believe he's got a future with Liverpool.

If Origi goes that has to mean we have another striker lined up irrespective of all the other deals going on.

Poor the Origi

That's great, £6M is incredible money for one year loan, you can even finance a (really, really shit) signing with this money 🙂. Wolfsburg should be an interesting experience for him; many great centre-forwards came through there: Dzeko, Grafite, Mandzukic etc. I guess next season he will play alongside or as a back-up to Mario Gomez.

Edwards is starting to get into the groove now. 6 mill loan fee, they pay his wages and he gets experience.
Fuck me, that doesnt even happen in Football Manager.

This is great for everyone involved - we get to have a striker who needs frequent game time playing whilst the player gets a season before the World Cup to get his place in the national team cemented.

If we are loaning Origi, I can't see us also loaning out Ings unless there is another striker coming in.

If Ings is greasing the wheels of Van Dijk's arrival we'll do it. Rhian Brewster will be getting a rapid promotion perhaps?
